Sorry, I didn’t realise I couldn’t give my view if somebody had a similar view 5 hours ago.

Jeez, I get it in the neck when I disagree with someone, now it’s happening when I’m in agreement.
You’re not alone Gill…. when I read David’s post I though exactly the same….
I’ve got a feeling my days on this forum are coming to an end… one way or another.
Ditto. Simply no need for that.
Hang on a minute isn't it a routine for posters to claim they said the same thing sometime ago, especially when it comes to Covid19?

Of course it is and at the end of the day does it really matter who said it first ... ?

... as an afterthought ....

To always want to be first or always need to be right is surely a destructive trait which will logically end in tears, settle for some of the time rather than all of the time if only for harmony

It'll be interesting to see how the flu jab will be done this year. Our GP GP surgery don't know yet and are awaiting government guide lines.

I was thinking the same, based on what usually happens I would expect there to be many more jabbing ' opportunities '

I'm debating weather to bother with it this year as previous years I get flu like symptoms a few weeks after having the jab. Horrible, feeling unwell and sweating for England every night for at least a fortnight.

Apart from an occasional sore or aching arm I have never had a reaction to a flu jab, nor have I had flu.
So that probably puts the mockers on me for this year.

I had Hong Kong flu in 1969 whilst pregnant with No. 1 son and have never been so ill in my life. I always have the flu jab and suffer no ill effects apart from a sore arm - since passing 70 I’ve had the shingles jab too and the nurse advised me to have it the same time as the flu jab but not in the same arm :(

Mobietta's shingles shot was a ' for life ' jab ... rather than one every year :?

I expect they'll post out the vaccine with a rusty nail to administer it yourself.

But seriously..... if there is a Covid Vaccine by then a one-visit-two-arms-job would seem the way to minimise contact and time, unless there is a medical reason why not.

Only serious bout of flu I ever had was probably winter of 60/61, my first working year. It confined me to bed for about 2 days and I was off work for a week, but nothing since then.

I cannot see there being a Covid vaccine available by September/October this year and if there was I doubt that there would be enough of it - perhaps next year.

If Covid-19 and flue are both Coronaviruses then would it not be possible to have a combined vaccine - especially if we will need one every year, which may be a possibility.

Unfortunately it seems to demonstrate that the Cruise Companies are willing to take short cuts. The precautions this Cruise Line didn't take were ' stand out ' and could have been avoided ... especially so once the 90 minute tests become readily available.

We should not be too critical of them for trying, because unless the cruise lines do keep testing the water they will never find an acceptable starting protocol.
