The point is moby, that they were not cleared at point of departure or arrival.
The airports were open as normal with no track or trace.
All water under the bridge now but absolute evidence of another government cock up.
Lockdown the population then allow any old tom, d**k or harry from anywhere ?
Really couldn’t make it up.
This government have done a few things good but an awful lot wrong.
Which, I would suggest, points to a Worldwide cock up.

' Tracking, Tracing and Testing ' were until very recently an unproven firm of Solicitors.

We came back from Singapore on the 4th of March. At no time were we tested on departure,on arrival in Manchester we were given advice to self isolate if we felt unwell within 14 days. The only testing we had was temperature on arrival into Singapore both from Manchester and Sydney. Oh, and when we visited the , Chinese museum., well worth a visit I may add.

Does anyone have a breakdown of the nationality of those flying in after lockdown? My instinct but without evidence is the vast majority were Brits coming home.
I agree, it's hardly likely at that time that there were many tourists among them, and even if they had advised that
they should quarantine, I suspect many would have ignored the advice. It is very easy to lay all the blame on the govt. but I imagine they were trying to judge the optimum time to call for a full lockdown which in hindsight was probably an impossibility.

It doesn't matter when Boris imposed the lockdown as it could always be claimed by the Boris bashers that he was a week too late. Were not those returning from the skiing areas in Italy required to self isolate? Indeed mistakes were made but hopefully these will be mistakes we would not be repeating.
I feel sure things would have been no better under Corbyn and his comrades.

I think therein lies the problem and one which would have been better served by having a psychologist guiding the Governments understanding of how people’s minds work. All this fannying around hoping people will be responsible has, in the main been a complete waste of time. Rules with lose ends leaves us all vulnerable, and the sooner the Government realises this the sooner we will start to get on top of this killer virus. The message that the Government needs be sending out is one of... stop thinking of ‘ME’ and start thinking of ‘We’… if people struggle with this concept then get the army in and issue on the spot fines.

It promises to be a lovely weather in Dorset this weekend…Y’all have fun now  ;)

I don't think any psychology would help with some of our thick population. This morning on Facebook I read a comment that people under 50 can't catch it! And there are plenty claiming it doesn't exist and is just made up by the government to control us.

Probably the Russians spreading fake news, it certainly seems to be working with Keefie our liberal Tory with a social conscience, now seems to be advocating Marshall Law to enforce any Lockdown infringements.

We had to go to Dunelm Mill yesterday, we waited in line, face coverings on,suddenly a bloke in his 60s just walked passed us all, including the member of staff who didn’t challenge him, he wasn’t wearing a covering. Screwess told me to keep my gob shut and hands by my side....sometimes I can do as I’m told, even though it irks me.

Why do women do that. You want confront someone and get rebuffed for even thinking it. I'm just waiting for the day someone insults her while I stand there with arms folded and a smirk. :D

Snap, we're the same the only thing I use is "whatsapp" and that is so I can easily keep in touch with our Daughter in Guatemala and our Son in London. I also have a friend who we meet/go on a cruise with. Apart from that no one else is on my "Whatsapp" contacts. We get told we're dinosaurs :)

My problem the opposite. If someone looks a bit dodgy and Trish glares at them. I tell her not to make eye contact. If she upsets someone it's me they'll punch!

That's the law.

I have nothing against social media and the tinterweb as a general concept. Through them I've been re-united with lost friends and found a lost half brother. But one does have to filter out the idiots.

I only use this one

Apart from that we are ever so trendy and switched on

Until that is I tried to renew online one's BT Landline / Broadband contract earlier in the week :?

I wanted to renew it ' as is ' cos I cannot be arsed swapping packages or suppliers every year but BT gave me 3 options yet not a single one did I want or even understand so I chose the ' simplest and cheapest ' in order to achieve any old renewal. Time to make a phone call albeit it took me two days to locate the correct number and when I rung it BT couldn't help because there was an order in the pipeline ... well, fancy that. They phoned back this morning and spent ages explaining that they don't do free calls at the weekends or one hour restriction type contracts any more. You’ll get ‘ Minutes ‘ and like it. Minutes are for Mobiles I persisted, nope not any more they’re not. You are having ‘ Minutes ‘, it will be cheaper and you can phone without undue restrictions as now but 24/7 with landline plus Mobile Numbers. I am starting to like ' BT Minutes ' because up to now I have refused to phone Mobile Numbers on our Landline phone system because of the expense.

You could be next with this never ending intrusive march of progress ... so take care y'all.

We get free calls to UK landlines up to an hour 24/7 on our EE Broadband/landline package.

I we call a mobile we normally use my mobile which has more monthly minutes than we even use.

Trish has a simple pay as you go mobile she only uses for texts and £30 credit lasts most of the year.
