Let us examine the facts ....

The fist first three horses OL backed for leading us out of Brexit were Teresa, then Gove then Nige. The fouth was a late runner, who may have been pushed onto the rails, called Boris.

It cannot be said therefore that he didn't get it spot on now can it

Teresa was a late starter then had to be put down after a nasty fall at the last fence. Gove was lame from the off, while Boris is currently lengths ahead.......according to his swimming certificate :)

Stephen, can you please get OL to see some sense and curb his ranting ramblings.
Not that I would expect anyone to acknowledge this but OL has an uncanny success rate of predicting what could/should have happened and he/she who dismisses his rants out of sight will often be left with egg on their faces…Cluck! Cluck!
So great Seer, please lay out your plan for the next six months so that we may later judge you with the benefit of hindsight.... :sarcasm:
Hi Sir Merv…my first prediction is that I’m expecting three horses to run big races latter this week…

Thursday ā€œBroken Spearā€ (Chester) draw dependent (low)

Friday ā€œKick on Kick Onā€ (Salisbury) Nap!!

Friday ā€œRequinto Dawnā€ (Wolverhampton)

Hopefully this will kick start the economy on a personal level  :D .

Looking at the bigger picture I predict nothing but doom and gloom (albeit less so for us pensioners) but with some foresight and a change of mindset there could be light at the end of a long tunnel. My Prediction is that we will carry on using the same economic model that has gone before whereas what is needed is a change in how we perceive our economy should be…we should focus our economy on what we need to live and not on what we think we need to live.…basically becoming more self-sufficient as a country.

I will give BotchitBoris a little longer than six months but my prediction is that the cat won’t have to dodge Botchits clumsy feet much after that.

As for other predictions I’m more of a chap who sees why things wont work rather than the things the government thinks will work.

One Lifes latest economic policy seems to hark back to the Good Life, but Tom and Barbara's self sufficiency was only possible because of the generosity of their neighbour Gerry, I am not certain that Macron will be quite as generous to the UK..

I’m sure that Macron will be as disruptive as possible.
As the number one bastion of a federal European Union, he really can’t afford for the UK to get too much in the way of concessions.
It would blow his whole policy out of the water and leave the door open for Far right.
What has somewhat mucked it up is that the EU appears to be denying us things that we don’t really care about.
This government mantra of a Canada style deal has thrown the cat among the pigeons.
They thought we wanted our cake and eat it.
It now appears that we are not too interested in the cake.

That's a bit harsh Sir Merv especially when l have on several occasions predicted, and correctly pointed out the outcome of several of the government's unworkable 'Ideas'

Perhaps this government should stop coming up with 'ideas' and start coming up with some sound workable plans for a change...or are we for ever going to be subjected to that drone of "unprecedented times" from now until whenever?

I can assure you that l get no pleasure criticising the government l voted for but there does come a point when you have to ask yourself who is actually steering the ship because from where l am standing there doesn't appear to be a captain on board.

On a more pressing matter do you know where l can get a boob job done on the cheap?

You see that's opposition thinking all over again. I'm not asking what's wrong with government ideas. I'm asking for better ideas. What would you do now to prepare for the next six months. Clearly Sir K doesn't know. I thought perhaps you might.
