The same could be said about the sensationalist, exaggerated reporting from the left which appeals to the socialists and Boris haters.
My advice is to take anything written in a newspaper with a huge pinch of salt. If you are lucky you may discover an unbiased article presenting a rational, circumspect argument as opposed to the usual bias of the resident reporters.
How long until the BBC report the news instead of trying to create it? Sometimes I cringe at just how rude and objectionable their so-called reporters can be.

Unreliable, a bit like their weather forecasting.

A bit unfair that, Stephen old chap!! I have always found them most accurate when telling what the weather has been. :sarcasm:

You chaps who don't like the BBC don't half seem to spend a lot off time watching it so you can complain. You should try cruising. You'd be naturals at collecting compo.

I go and find something else to do if Kuennsberg or the precocious Munchetty are on. It is noticeable how gentle they are with anyone from the left or may agree with their own point of view but distinctly rude to anyone from the government or with whom they personally disagree. Impartial my ar** backside!!! More a case of the Beeb pandering to their over inflated egos. I tend to listen to the BBC radio more than the TV. Can I have reduced rates?

I must say that I’m perplexed as to why some on the left are so obsessed with the Mail.
James O’Brien mentioned the right wing press dozens of times the other day on his radio show.
Even the faux left constantly quote it and demean it’s readers.
The comments on the Guardian are absolutely obsessed with it.
It does seem strange when we all know that Murdoch picks the PM, not the Mail.

I watch it to catch the news sometimes and the odd program but that's about it.....apart from yesterday and today when Ronnie is playing in the World Championship final. He's got it in the bag. He only needs one frame tonight to win. I feel a bit sorry for his young opponent. I think the whole occasion has just got the better of him, plus he's playing one of, if not the best player that ever held a queue.

The Beeb banned the Kiplings 'The road to Mandalay ' at the VJ day celebrations, on the grounds of offensive towards people of colour..
Do they not realise the Burma campaign was fought by '' People of Colour ''

If you read the full story you'll find the objection came from the man of colour due to perform it.

You'll also perhaps note that with or without it the BBC staged a magnificent tribute to people who fought in the far east featuring many people of colour and hosted by the daughter of a gurkha soldier.

I did read it Merv, maybe if he objected they could have got someone else.?

Yes, it was a very well staged tribute, just a shame they didn’t have the same balls as the service personnel who fought the conflict.

I would have had the same issue which ever channel it was.

Replace someone of Willard Whites stature at short notice? You are kidding eh? And then the headline you're quoting would be "BBC sack black star for refusing to sing racially offensive song". They couldn't win.

Are there any other over 75 forum members who have been getting free TV licenses, who are still waiting for a renewal letter from the BBC?

Majid is covering for O’Brien this week and I must say what a massive improvement it is in my opinion.
At least Majid doesn’t constantly ramble on about the Xenophobic, outright racist, thick as two short planks, simpletons who had the audacity to vote against the establishment.
I’m not totally convinced about his mental well-being.
Maybe that’s why he’s off.
It must be very difficult hosting a national whinge fest every day.
