Would you ?

Unread post by barney »

Would you dob in someone who you knew had been to a country that compelled quarantine on arrival back, but didn’t ?

We discussed this this morning and decided that we would.

' dob ' ............. ?

Difficult to say, how would I know that a feller in the village, for example, had been on holiday or in hospital ?

In all honesty I think not unless it was somebody that gets right up my nose ;)

It depends, if they were friends I would discuss it with them in the hope that they would change their minds and do the right thing. if just neighbours then I'm note sure, but since I doubt the police would do anything anyway, then what's the point, or would that mean I was not doing my civic duty?

Honest answer Barney…if it was family or close friends “No” but anyone else... such as Stephen, then Yes! Most definitely I would. :D

I have to say though, even with family and close friends I wouldn’t be able to hold back telling them how bloody inconsiderate they were.

P.s I’ve already got a camera trained on townys house should he choose to take a vacation :sarcasm: :D

I honestly don't know ... and hope not to find out. Like others I would unlikely report family or friends ... you all know that I am a quiet non-opinionated type, so it will probably come as a surprise to you that I might have a word and let them know of my disapproval.

But for others ????
I am often heard saying to Julie ... "keep your nose out of it", "it is not your business", "it's not your problem", especially since JUlie usually only opens her mouth to change feet ... so maybe I would practice what I preach. On the other hand .... those who show zero respect for others or don't have the intellect to wear a mask properly or are prissy little princesses who can't miss a night out with their mates or don't want to disturb their makeup get what they deserve.

Chance would be a fine thing since cruises are now our only, main, favourite holiday of choice.

Just been speaking to my teacher son who says the “bubbles” in school are being abused big time - we are talking about 16/17/18 year olds hugging and kissing “oh I’ve missed you etc.” and when he tells them off so to speak this is the response. An intelligent girl - allegedly - told him that it is a conspiracy and she’s not having a vaccine because they will implant a chip in her to monitor her movements. He said that is being done now via mobile phones etc. which she didn’t believe - I just despair and in answer to your question I ask myself is there any point  I would say something to family and close friends but doubt they would break the rules anyway. Don’t you just wish you could go to bed and wake up and this was all a bad dream :(

I've often mentioned this to Mrs S about how are these things policed.

It's like when you see a sign saying a £100 fine if you don't pick up after your dog or everyone is supposed to wear a masks in shops. No one wants know about inforcing the rules, just leave it to the police is the answer you get. It's a joke.

We should get tough with quarantine breakers as they do in Australia, and some other countries, - go to jail, go directly to jail, do not pass go - simples!
