Nooooooo, if it aint broke don't fix it. I find that using Active Topics brings up everything I want to see, and if I want to find an old thread I usually succeed after a bit of head scratching.Onelife wrote: 20 Oct 2020, 09:53I know l'm treading where l shouldn't here but to my mind if David were to make the recent topics box bigger to include WA, LOTP and TWA you would find they would get far more hits than they presently do now. Use ' Active ' Topics and this will list everything that was active in the past 7 days but if that is not enough then scroll down far left and click the little arrow and select what you do like.
ps ... perhaps D63 thinks the reason for his site is to attract cruisers rather than school children ... just saying

There was a time when the childish threads used to sit along side the more intellectual ones and being both intellectual and childish l used to enjoy the ease of going from one to the other without having to do what you have to do now.Manoverboard wrote: 20 Oct 2020, 11:32Not sure what you are asking forOnelife wrote: 20 Oct 2020, 09:53I know l'm treading where l shouldn't here but to my mind if David were to make the recent topics box bigger to include WA, LOTP and TWA you would find they would get far more hits than they presently do now. ' Active Topics ' will display everything, cannot see what the problem is ....
At this moment in time there are 5 x ' Games ' Topics listed, including all of those on your list.

I always use Quick Links and then select Unread Posts. Gets me access in two clicks to everything I've not already seen.

I use unread posts on the Bolsover forum, but only because they dont offer an active topics feature, which I find better.Jan Rosser wrote: 20 Oct 2020, 15:25Me too Merv - simplesMervyn and Trish wrote: 20 Oct 2020, 15:22I always use Quick Links and then select Unread Posts. Glad to read you were diagnosed and treated effectively. We are very lucky to have the NHS.
Hope you make a speedy recovery.

Quick update. Follow up appointment with surgeon this week. Very pleased with recovery. Feel pretty much normal now and can drive again. Can also do light ironing. But don't tell Trish......

Re: Merv is back ... alive and well
Very pleasant surprise yesterday. I rang my travel insurer(comes with my Nat West account) and they didn't fall about laughing. At present they won't cover me for either the heart/aorta issue because the op was less than 8 weeks ago nor the prostate because I'm still, having been diverted by the bigger problem, awaiting an appointment to sort that out.
However once the heart op is more than 8 weeks ago and once the prostate is sorted they'll cover both for an additional premium of only around £150 for annual worldwide travel. I was expecting it to be much more than that.

An insurance company that doesn't rip you off for once with medical conditions Merv. Good to hear.Mervyn and Trish wrote: 19 Nov 2020, 11:27Very pleasant surprise yesterday. That's only because they have a "2 for 1" offer on at the moment (probably need the business as nobody is travelling at the moment!!)

We get our basic cover free with our Nat West Platinum account. We just pay a supplement now we're both over 70 and for pre-existing conditions.
