Vaccine has Arrived

Unread post by david63 »

The Pfizer vaccine has been approved for use in the UK

Now all we need is the nayslayers downplaying - even the Beeb seemed almost upbeat about it.

It's brilliant news but Kay Birley on Sky was more focused on whether a scotch egg was a substantial meal or whether you could eat a takeaway in a wet pub. Pathetic woman but Matt Hancock was having none of it.
Today should be seen as a good news day. Ignore those who choose to spoil it.

It's fantastic new in my opinion.

I was listening to LBC yesterday and they had four, consecutive anti vaxxers on.

:P Great news. Can't wait to get mine. I wonder how long we will have to wait. Being an old **** hopefully it won't be to long. Good luck to whoever has to organise the logistics of getting the vaccines around the country.

A bit of good news to end what has been a very depressing year. We will both have the vaccine as soon as we are offered it, and not bothered even if it does contain a chip so the govt can keep track of me, at least when I next get lost someone will be able to find me!!!

I would suspect that the army will be involved somewhere in this operation - after all that is a large part of their role.

We (Moorlands Radio) reported it on our Facebook news feed this morning.

This was the first comment in reply:

"Good news for all the people who stand to make money out of it maybe, not so good for the rest of us"

Do these people not read/listen to the news? - this is being treated as an humanity crisis. None of these companies (except perhaps Trump's mates) have said that they are doing anything other than charging for the actual cost of production. The "big bucks" will come from second/third generation vaccines.

Before: "B****y useful country this. Why are we always last to do everything................. Boris is a waste of space.............. Scotland (and any other country) are on the ball, not like us.................blah, blah, blah".

Went into town this morning and overheard this conversation, " Well I'm not having the vaccine. Nobody else has got it so I'm not going to be a guinea pig for the rest of the world. They're not testing it out on me!"
