More like eleventh hour, fifty nine minutes, fifty nine seconds - just saying
No need to nit pick old chap ... that's the job of a n other
.
It’s not nit-picking it’s financial…anything short of the eleventh hour and I’m out of pocket to Betfred
Sorry OL, I wasn't thinking of your good self as being a nit picker ... oh no, as I said it was ' a n other '

If we are talking about gossip, I heard that the ERG are kicking off because Johnson has caved on fish.

For Christmas, the cabinet should club together and buy Boris a comb and a watch
:D Don’t you could get a comb through that lot. A hedge trimmer would be more appropriate

Even before the deal is announced the naysayers are in full flow!!!

Dominic Grieve, ex MP was on TV this morning saying he had accepted the result of the referendum and then gave us all a Pro Remain lecture.

No moaning from me Gill. What is there to moan about - we are out of the EU AND it's looking like we have a deal. However there are still a few bitter Remoaners about including Dominic Grieve who has just been on TV again giving his view and laying hope that in the future we may rejoin. Get over it; we are out of the EU and we should now be moving on.

The most salient point is that so many who failed to accept the decision of the majority were constantly telling us that it couldn’t be done.
It takes ten years apparently.
The same people were telling us that the roll over deals could not be done because they wouldn’t even want to talk with the tiny U.K.
The same people were telling us about the exodus from the city of London.
They were wrong before June 2016 and they are just as wrong now.
The U.K. will thrive and continue to thrive outside of the constraints of the Eu.
Watch this space.

Not discounting David Frost’s input but I think it will be Michael Gove who we’ll be patting on the shoulder for the delivery of Brexit…I really rate this man and would love him to take over from the weak link in the cabinet.

No that wasn't moaning. That was stating fact. He is beginning to sound pretty ridiculous but his utterances over a lost cause are becoming laughable.

If you were worried about Carrie having too much influence over our current PM, then just think what Sarah Vine could do if Gove takes over!!!!

That's not moaning Gill, merely stating the facts.
Now where have I heard that statement before, no don't help me, but wasn't that the mantra of every remainer we have had posting on here for the last 4 or 5 years. :lolno:

Barney, yes there will be re negotiations in the future . Quietly and with little publicity. The customs arrangement, not in anyone's interest will be amongst the first.

I wondered if I should wait for someone else to ask you for a little more flesh on the bone of your statement, but if I did delay it's quite likely I would have forgotten about by tomorrow. :?

I would hate to be considered a moaner, and hopefully i wont be by pointing out that what appears to be the current deal in no way reflects the aspirations of those people who wished to leave. IMHO it is a cr***y deal which it has cost billions to 'achieve', be you a leaver or remainer you can't be happy with it.
