What online checker Ken. That’s news to me. I saw something about one on the Express news page but couldn’t find anything.

Re: Who Has Been Vaccinated?
The only one that I have seen is this - https://www.omnicalculator.com/health/vaccine-queue-uk
I looked at it last week and it was giving some strange results (things like double the amount of jabs a week means you get the vaccine later! Older people getting it later than younger ones) - had a look today and it appears that some of the bugs have been ironed out.

Re: Who Has Been Vaccinated?
Perhaps Ray can correct me on this but I was under the impression that when it is your turn for a vaccine jab that you are given an appointment. If that is true then why was the Beeb showing a mile long queue of people waiting outside in the freezing weather for their jab?

Little old lady down the lane, c 85, had hers on Friday. She was given a timed appointment 4 days earlier via a text message to her Mobile Phone.

Re: Who Has Been Vaccinated?
My neighbour (85) has had a telephone call with a timed appointment at a local doctors surgery. However a family friend (88) has had a letter again with a timed appointment at a local vaccination centre (NHS are using the county borough offices) although she is a patient at the same surgery - it’s anyone’s guess how they determine these things

Re: Who Has Been Vaccinated?
They could have been queuing for one of the mass covid tests or a McDonalds take-away, wouldn't put it past the BBC to bend the facts to suit their Boris bashing policy.david63 wrote: 09 Jan 2021, 08:32Perhaps Ray can correct me on this but I was under the impression that when it is your turn for a vaccine jab that you are given an appointment. Re: Who Has Been Vaccinated?
Perhaps they had appointments? Sometimes there is no conspiracy.
Dont just blame the BBC, they dont bend the facts, they just dont follow the populist agenda, anyway the Times and several other media have rumbled him as well.

My brother in law (83) was phoned by doctors surgery and offered a vaccine appointment for the same day. Also a neighbour (late 80s) was offered an appointment. Both turned them down and asked for time to think about it!

Re: Who Has Been Vaccinated?
Well, according to David's provided calculator I should
be getting my first vaccine dose between 27/03/2021 and 13/05/2021.
I'll just put those dates in my calendar. I feel a compo claim coming on though

I'll take one if it's still going. What is there to think about.JillD66 wrote: 09 Jan 2021, 10:58My brother in law (83) was phoned by doctors surgery and offered a vaccine appointment for the same day. Some folks may have ' existing conditions ' and fear that the jab may tip them over the edge ... maybe

Re: Who Has Been Vaccinated?
In which case that should be discussed with their GP - and as it was the GP surgery ringing that should not have been a problem. After all everyone has known about the vaccine since the beginning of December so they should have "all their ducks in row" in readiness.Manoverboard wrote: 09 Jan 2021, 11:48Some folks may have ' existing conditions ' and fear that the jab may tip them over the edge ... maybe

Mine and Mobietta's are but we do not assume that everybody else should have the jab, tis surely their risk to take as they see fit ... but we won't be stopping in to protect them.david63 wrote: 09 Jan 2021, 12:02In which case that should be discussed with their GP - and as it was the GP surgery ringing that should not have been a problem. Re: Who Has Been Vaccinated?
John our vaccination centre serves 4 local villages, they do work on an appointments system, we got a telephone call 2 days previous. The whole organisation was extremely well run from car parking marshals to a well ventilated recuperation area. The whole thing took les that half an hour. Interestingly the BBC cameras were about the area doing a general piece on Covidtowny44 wrote: 09 Jan 2021, 10:23They could have been queuing for one of the mass covid tests or a McDonalds take-away, wouldn't put it past the BBC to bend the facts to suit their Boris bashing policy.david63 wrote: 09 Jan 2021, 08:32Perhaps Ray can correct me on this but I was under the impression that when it is your turn for a vaccine jab that you are given an appointment. nope - not until Easter- ish - must be a similar age to Stephen!
Elder daughter is 41 and waiting for her call up cos she's the optician's receptionist and qualifies as a 'close up health worker' (can't remember the posh term). The paperwork has gone in - so shouldn't be long
