Cyprus used to be one of the safest places to visit. Following the collapse of its economy, there may well be bargains to be had in the holiday department - but will travellers find that the crime rate will have increased?

The crime rate is linked to full employment and without that the purchase of a property is a very bad idea as you become the target of their misfortune.
