Vaccinations are going ahead in this neck of the woods and quite a few have now had it. It's just a matter of waiting your turn and if you'r not that old you'll just have to wait a nit longer than the rest of us,
I saw where one MP said that prisoners should have priority. Are these people for real?
Is it because they are in close proximity to each other ... and it isn't their fault
It is their fault they're in there!

Sorry I forgot. Yes of course it's mixed messaging. Stay home could easily be misinterpreted as mug an old lady. Easy mistake. :sarcasm:

You simply fail to understannd that if the Government dished out extra benefits including 55inch TVs, high end cars and drugs etc they wouldn't need to resort to criminal activity

When you see the scum bags on tv complaining about the benefits for their 6 children by 8 different fathers being inadequate they seem to have all those things anyway, as well as the latest iPhone, Netflix, Amazon Prime and Sky.

I was so incensed by Mark Drakeford comments yesterday that I emailed both my MP and my assembly member.
It just sums up the administration here in Wales.

Instead of usiing all the vaccine to protect lives and the NHS we must spin it out so the vaccinators have enough to do.

You couldnt make it up.
This morning all I got from my assembly member was a cut and paste statement.

My MP cannot reply until I confirm that I am one of his constituents.
Heaven help us all.

Joy this morning my Ocado delivery was over an hour early.

I share your frustration Lindsey - he didn't earn any brownie points with that statement. Vaughn Gething was questioned about it later and faffed his way through - honestly you couldn't make it up. Having said that I do know the vaccine is being rolled out pretty quickly in my area both at my doctors and the local council offices. Isn't it funny how the little things please us these days - an early delivery has made your day

I would have thought it best to get as many people vaccinated as quickly as possible. I'm not sure I understand where Private Godfrey is coming from on this one since more vaccine is on its way and the vaccination programme is being ramped up. We don't have any mass innoculation centres around here but local NHS practices have joined together to get vaccinations going.
Funny how it's the little things in lockdown which please us. I look forward to Click n Collect on Monday mornings. Funny also how we check the front door every night even though we know nobody has been through it!!!!

And us, in fact we both wrote to the Welsh Assembly and complained. Our Practice, still had had absolutely no vaccines to administer.

That’s good news, Lindsey. Sadly our (Gower) Practice hasn’t started yet. Even our 89 year old neighbour is waiting.

My husband is in an older age group to me. It is good news.

As far as I am aware my father is still waiting.

If you have not yet received an invitation for a jab just sit tight, you have not been forgotten, you will be contacted. Do not phone the doctors.
So it looks like that advice has fallen on deaf ears. The TV and papers have latched on to the panic being shown by those still waiting. Not just individuals but care homes have contacted the media who then big it up to a lead story. City's, towns, villages and counties all starting to bleat on how next door has had it but we hav'nt. And now.. members of the Welsh government are complaining that England has been given more than them.
A bit of calm is required here..
Me, I'm just going to sit back and wait for the call. As the Government has said, we will all get the vaccine, just wait for the call.
Don't worry, be happy

We just received our vaccination letters and have booked our jabs for next Monday at the nearest centre, Boots in Halifax.

I wonder how many of those 89+ year olds declined a jab in the first instance but have since changed their minds and are now complaining there are others in the queue in front of them. Just wondering..............
Just be patient.

I've got a bit if time before I get my jab but my hope is that they phone you to invite you in rather than send an invitation by post. Around here we are getting one postal delivery every 7 -10 days. I would hate to miss my jab because I didn't get the letter in time.
