Nectar points from Sainsburys
I don't know how many of you are using Sainsburys and have a nectar card, however if you go into your Nectar account on line you will find weekly offers of nectar points on your shop, for use either in store or on line.
These are linked to your regular purchase items and can add up to quite a saving. On this weeks shop 7 of the items I bought had points offers which added up to 520 points, when you consider that 500 points gives you £2.50 off your shop, this came to a 6.25% saving on my £40 spend.
Well worth a little effort when all you need to do is go into your Nectar account at least 72 hours before your delivery is due and save all your offers, assuming you have some items among them, and the points are automatically added to your nectar account after your shop.

I do our weekly shop list and then once completed trawl through our ' Favourites ' that are on ' Offer ' to see what worthwhile savings can be made. I will also peep into the coupon folder albeit mainly for ' substitute payments ' but very much doubt I will bother with Nectar.

Nectar points are good but the only Sainsbury's we have us a local and they are expensive. So I use the Co-Op and their loyalty scheme is very good, especially if you buy their own brand stuff. A percentage goes to local good causes as well.

Merv, as our expert on all things BBC, what do make of the regular between programme advert fillers, highlighting all these things like podcasts, music downloads, internet streaming etc. These seem to be aimed at teen and twenty age groups, BUT none of our under 25 family members would be seen dead listening or watching any BBC outputs, however trendy they try to present it, and then we have all the new trendy comedy shows headed by all the unfunny folk like Ranganathan.
If the Beeb is not careful it will find that just like M&S its core audience will decide it is no longer enjoyable and desert it for Netflix and all the other new streaming services that have not lost the plot by trying to attract the impossible.
