I must admit ours stay outside as well even though I did clear one side recently in case of heavy snow. When it was new it use to go in the garage every night. That novelty soon wore off.

We must be old school, our car stays garaged when we are not using it, as a result it starts first time even after lying idle for weeks at a time in the pandemic.

Car in garage? What a ridiculous idea. Where does he keep his empty cardboard boxes and things he's keeping in case he ever needs one again? To say nothing of his "collection".

Looks our area is going to be getting Fibre broadband

Should be installed by mid-summer with speeds of 800 Mbps according to the conversation with the Openreach bod this afternoon, who along with his colleagues were surveying properties. No doubt for a hefty price

You know there's no such thing as a free lunch, or even cheap superfast fibre broadband.

To be honest the speed I’m currently getting does me, but it’ll be interesting to see what the prices will be between the different providers.

If they convert your local exchange to fibre, like wot they did to ours, you will have no choice. They provide a replacement free hub, change your contract to ' minutes ' but make no additional broadband charge on year one.

I stayed with BT to avoid the likely downtime

Our exchange is already converted to fibre, and although the blurb with providers say you can get fibre broadband it's not true fibre as it still comes down the copper line to the house. This upgrade will be a fibre cable installed right up to the house.
