Both jabbed this morning. My appointment was this afternoon but when I took Trish for her's this morning they did me too. Local surgery, very efficient, in and out in 5 mins.
So we can party now, right?

Re: Who Has Been Vaccinated?
What is it with the WHO?
They keep bleating on about rich nations hogging all the vaccine and that there is none available for the poorer nations through Covax but last night there was their leading scientist on TV saying that the WHO have only approved one vaccine (Pfizer) and there are 12 others waiting to be approved in the next few weeks. Not only that every manufacturing site has to be approved.
Now, as usual, taking a simplistic approach to this - if one country has approved a vaccine cannot the WHO use that as a temporary approval to get things moving?
I do think that when we get through this there are some serious questions needing to be asked about how the WHO operates - perhaps Trump had a point!

Re: Who Has Been Vaccinated?
Daily politics was bleating on that we should now be giving some of our vaccines away to help the poorer nations.
Yes we will eventually but everything has to be paid for.
So isn't it best to get the UK economy going as quickly as possible, that way we will be able to afford to send even more of our vaccines to help the poorer countries.
Not one of the panel even alluded to this.

But, apparently, the UK has poured more money into Covax than almost any other country and that is what is supposedly helping the poorer countries - although I am not sure who these poorer countries are as I read a few days ago that New Zealand is getting their vaccine from Covax.towny44 wrote: 05 Feb 2021, 11:27Daily politics was bleating on that we should now be giving some of our vaccines away to help the poorer nations.

You're not immune until your microchip has been programmed - and that does not happen until your third dose
