Had our letter on Saturday - so booked online immediately rather than waiting for the Dr's call.

strange - online they only offer places to the east of us - whereas the Dr's centre is the Fairfield Halls . Still, JD will be proud of us - we're going to Selhurst Park ( she has a CPFC season ticket) later this morning.
My husband got his letter on Friday and booked at a centre 12 miles away and had his jab on Saturday.

The GP hub is only 5 minutes walk away, but he decided to get it done ASAP, rather than wait for the doctor - knowing our doctor’s surgery, it could have been a long wait.

I’m in group 7, so I will do the same when it’s my turn, probably sometime in March.

Yep, they did say they were going to be getting out the good stuff for us now that the hit and miss vaccine has all been used up in Dorset. :)

My brother and his wife, who are in the next group down the batting order, had theirs last week. They live just across the road from their surgery and got a call to say they could have their jabs if they came straight away. They had some Pfizer vaccine left at the end of a session and didn't want to waste it.

we could have gone on Sunday, but decided to wait until today. It was a 60 minute round trip.

Well done that surgery, we don't want to waste any if it can be helped.

We've now both had the vaccine. My husband got his yesterday and I got mine today both were given Pfizer. It was all done very efficiently in and out within 30 minutes including the wait time.

My wife has signed up to do vaccinations so had her jab (AstraZeneca) a couple of days ago. She had a high temperature for 24 hours with headache. I get mine tomorrow morning.

Having just listened to Boris’s briefing I got the distinct impression that there is more to come regarding the overall efficiency of the AstraZeneca vaccine…I may be wrong…but rarely! :)

I couldn't sleep cos couldn't get warm - now temp raised a bit and a bit of a headache. Nothing desperate - but could do without it! Hopefully will only be short term

My BIL had a similar reaction - shivering with cold but he was hot, headache and feeling rough. It lasted about 24 hours and after a 'better' night's sleep he was fine.It seems to affect different people in different ways, some having no reaction at all apart from a stiff arm for a couple of days.

Going for mine in about 35 minutes. Drugs don't agree with me so fully expecting a reaction.

Seems to be a lot of comment in todays papers suggesting these symptoms are a good thing, because it indicates the vaccine is having the desired effect on your immune system. We both had similar symptoms after our vaccines, but mine were quite mild, I just felt a little feverish and quite tired the day after the jab, but fine after a good nights sleep.

They didn't take your advice because I've just had a small prick, and a very enjoyable experience it was too :o

That's my wife's thinking John...she’s fine now all but for a sore arm but she did have a temperature or 38.6 for nigh on 24 hours
