Yes Jan. Letter arrived at lunchtime for an appointment on Thursday at Margam orangery which is a good hour from us. Rang through and managed to get it changed to the other mvc for first jabs at Gorseinon tomorrow morning.
Only took my husband last week for his second jab. They are only doing 2nd jabs at the Bay field hospital now.
Hope all is well with you.

I’m well thanks Lindsey. Lot of people who had 1st jabs just before me are now having their 2nd - my brother in law had his yesterday after 5 weeks so hopefully things are speeding up and we will all have that extra layer of protection soon. Stay safe

a colleague of my daughter has had a message postponing her 2nd jab cos they won't have enough vaccine - only put back a few days, but mucks about with their work hours - the original appt having been chosen carefully!

Be better tomorrow Lindsey. Strange how some have no side effects yet some are not at all well for a couple of days.

Blood clots are now a concern, it seems in Austria, regarding the AZ jab ... older folk have always had problems with blood clots for goodness sakes
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being

I think we need to stop all vaccinations, until we can be certain they are not contributing to the daily worldwide death rate of 150,000.

There is anecdotal evidence that those who have previously had the disease can suffer worse side effects.

I have not previously had the disease but am allergic to lots of antibiotics. The nurse went away and checked with the doctor who said to go ahead. They made me wait 15 mins to see if I had an immediate reaction.
To be honest it reminded me of my chemo, sweats then bad chills and shaking. Nausea and dizziness and a constant headache.
Just a sore arm this morning.
But I may take advice from my gp as to whether I should go ahead and have the one.

So that's him all done and dusted.

Our daughter had her vaccination yesterday (AstraZeneca) and has experienced the same symptoms as her mother e.g. high temperature and feeling fatigued.

Just had letter inviting me for my second jab - it will be done just six weeks after my first one - really on a roll now considering the slow start in Wales

Thanks Foxy but I can “handle” Stephen :lolno:

I’ve had the Pfizer vaccine and the second jab is being given much quicker than the Oxford vaccine top up here - not sure why. I think I’m like many people though a bit apprehensive about going out and mixing - one slow step at a time for me ;)

That's good news Jan, coffees and lunches will soon be on the horizon.

Had to speak to my gp today about my side effects, and have been urged to go ahead and have the 2nd when I'm invited. It will be a week tomorrow since I had my jab and I'm still having side effects.
