Now you’re being ridiculous. You have as much chance of catching it in the UK as anywhere else.

Not on current figures you don't. And the worry is not just about catching it, it is about bringing home a variant we don't have yet, maybe one that the vaccinations we've been so successful at rolling out are less effective against.
