They are if they're the ones blocking the roads by thoughtless parking so Mountain Rescue or other emergency vehicles cannot get through. It's the minority who cause the problems and the rest of us who have to suffer.

But that's a problem that would exist even without Covid surely. It seems an issue that should be addressed to your local authority, if they want tourists to boost the economy, then its incumbent on them to provide adequate car parking facilities, and enough wardens to try and prevent or punish offenders.oldbluefox wrote: 28 Mar 2021, 14:50They are if they're the ones blocking the roads by thoughtless parking so Mountain Rescue or other emergency vehicles cannot get through. You say that John, butter car parking spaces are finite.towny44 wrote: 28 Mar 2021, 15:20But that's a problem that would exist even without Covid surely. Last year Devon police were actually turning people around at Saunton, Woolacombe and Croyde and telling them to go elsewhere because of near gridlock.
It’s a fine line.
Luckily, we walk to the coast but still gave it a very wide berth when busy.

Re: Road map for lockdown easing
We do get the odd incident under 'normal' circumstances but following the easing of lockdown restrictions last year it was total carnage in these parts and had nothing to do with car parking facilities or wardens; basically too many people with no care or respect for the countryside doing just as they pleased and leaving a trail of mess and destruction behind them for somebody else to clear up.towny44 wrote: 28 Mar 2021, 15:20But that's a problem that would exist even without Covid surely. These scum bags do not contribute a penny to the local economy, instead they sleep in their car / van and bring their own food, booze, nappies and water etc. Then they bury it all in the sand for the locals to clear up. The Council cannot plan for that and I, for one, do not wish to have my rates increased to pay for their utter selfishness.towny44 wrote: 28 Mar 2021, 15:20.... More CCTV needed in high risk areas such as beaches and sea fronts.

Well I gather Alonso's car was knackered by a stray sandwich wrapper yesterday so the litter louts must be out in Bahrain too.
