I’ve done Burrows Saint and Mr. Malarkey, both each way with 365.
Expectations are low but it’s fun to watch.
Good luck Barney…if we take the well handicapped Cloth Cap out of the equation then it’s a very open race.

I’ll be shouting your two selections on as long as they stay behind mine at the finish

As a new age man I assume he will have put his money on a lady jockey.

What's the World coming to? not only allowing women to compete in the greatest horse race in the world, but them winning as well.

Well done Rachael Blackmore you have made my day :-)

Getting your heart to beat faster trains your body to move oxygen and blood to your muscles more efficiently, helps you burn more calories and lowers your cholesterol. All of this can help you stay healthy and lower your cancer risk….if not a little poorer in my case ;) :)

How’s this for a kick in the teeth…. there was a horse running in the 5.40 at Wolverhampton today which I really fancied, however, I thought I would leave placing my bet till after the national just in case one of my selections won, had this been the case I would have doubled my stake… they didn’t win so I went to place £8-win £2 place on the horse Seaforth but couldn’t login onto the Betfred Site... probably due to National overload. My heart was pumping180 beats a minute trying to get logged in…alas I missed getting my bet on…and yes! it went in at 10/1
…..
I don’t know if any of you are aware of the free to enter ITV 7 tipping competition which is run midweek for £1,000 and £50,000 at the weekend. It’s very easy to enter and often pulls in hundreds of thousands trying their luck… check it out https://itv7.itv.com / it cost nothing to enter and you don’t need any horse racing knowledge to stand a chance of winning…best of all you don’t get any adverts after signing up etc.

Today’s competition saw three people share £250,000…sadly there were 58 others who also picked all seven winners but when this happens there is a tie break where you have to select what you think will be the winning distance of the last race…. If you think I felt sick guess how they must be feeling :(

It’s a bit of fun, it cost nothing so be lucky and keep smiling.

Aintree… where dreams do come true.
What a fantastic day for racing. Racheal Blackmore winning the Grand National was the crowning glory to what has been a terrific year for this talented young lady. Whilst there isn’t a lot of top flight women NH jockeys out there, there is no doubt they are right up there with the best of their male counterparts.

Bryony Frost is another right up there with the best of them and it is her words that captivates what racing means to all us racing fans when she paid tribute to ‘Frodon’ after winning the Ryanair chase…

“He's got his day, guys. He is Pegasus, he has got wings. He is the most incredible battler. He has beat everything out there.
He travelled, my God he jumped. That moment he got overtaken two out, most horses would quit. But no, he grabbed me by my hand and said, 'No, don't you dare give up. Don't you dare not send me into the last. I want this more than you, now come on, where are you?”

Aintree day 3 results…

National bets…talkischeap…never going PU…. Farclas..ran a cracker finishing 7th.

Two Aintree bets…Janika...poor run, never got involved…. Thomas Darby ran well to finish 3rd 28/1

As for the chocolate tipping competition….it was a walkover as I was the only one to enter…. yum! yum! the chocolates are lovely

:eh: I’m not advocating betting online…. it’s a free to enter competition with no monetary outlay.
