Will they meet in heaven?

Unread post by Ray Scully »

Last night a brave lady with tremendous conviction passed away. Anne Williams who has fought tirelessly for justice after her 15 year old son died in the Hillsborough tragedy.
I wonder if she will bump into Margaret Thatcher, responsible for assisting the cover up, to protect the Establishment.

This post could cause some controversy.
I was at Hillsborough on that fateful day, I will keep my thoughts to myself.

As it doesn't exist then they can't very well meet can they? Taking that to one side, 'heaven' has different meanings for different people. I therefore doubt that people with different ideas of what 'heaven' is would ever meet. Let's say a person thinks 'heaven' is a place of never-ending interesting football games especially for a favourite football team - and then let's say that another person thinks that 'heaven' is a place where football does not exist in any way/shape/form. They just aren't going to meet are they?

(Apologies to PtE etc).

I suppose it raises the question what is your idea of 'heaven'.

Em ;)

Ray ...

You will do well to remember the anguish that was caused by the caustic and insensitive comments made by a certain Member on the demised P&O site regarding Hillsborough.

Following a convincing point made by HK this Topic has been unlocked ... for now
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being

Thank you Moby. As I was saying Ray, I really hope that Anne and Kevin are together in heaven today. I have great admiration for her.She had tremendous courage and determination and even managed to attend the memorial on Monday.

Hi Hezza,

Yes, you have made a valid point there - thanks. However, there is no factual evidence or proof that it does exist - so ........qed it doesn't exist?

Anyway, as you have so politely and kindly pointed out, there are no facts, there is no evidence, it is simply how I feel. If I can see evidence, find facts then I can admit that something exists. Once I have reached that point then I have to work out how I feel about it. However, I haven't even got to first base yet. Sorry about that.

Thank you for making your point so nicely.

Well! I am getting to the stage were it is something you contemplate.
Like Em I would like proof and make a provisional booking for one of the better specks.
Sadly no proof exists, so I console myself knowing the very limited knowledge or awareness we mere mortals have. Imagine someone a 100 years ago talking of jet travel and the Internet! It would have been considered a form of heresy.

My one and only post on this thread in respect of both women.

I totally endorse your first paragraph, and I trust Anne Williams and her son Kevin have met up in heaven.

However I don't think up to now, there has been any proof to warrant your second paragraph, that Margaret Thatcher assisted the cover up.

Perhaps now she has died, all the papers she had relating to the incident, could be released to show what, if any involvement, she had in a cover up.

May both women and Kevin RIP.

Mrs Thatcher, as far as I know, always refused to meet the Hillsborough families, (I wonder why...think I know) so I don't think Anne Williams ever met her here on earth.

So I hope they are having a good old chinwag over a cup of tea....Mrs T with a bone china cup and saucer and Anne with a pound shop mug and sorting this out. :)

And for those of you who don't believe in 'heaven', I have news....It does exist...I have been there several times...every time Palace score that winning goal...you should try it....It's lovely there. :D

Derek....Come off it even the staunchest Maggie fans must accept that Mrs Thatcher knew all about Hillsborough and the cover up's....There is a mass of evidence out there.....She knew alright.

RIP Anne Williams a very brave lady.....You gave 'em hell and you won.

I don't believe in God so I don't believe that there is a heaven. If there was a God he would say enough is enough and come to earth and smite down all those people who have taken innocent lives in the most heinous ways, especially the lives of little innocent children. I don't know of anyone who has ever come back from heaven and told anyone else about it.

It was a moving scene at the memorial service at Hillsborough on Monday to see the crowd clapping at the arrival of Anne Williams who was looking so poorly. I hope in the last hours of her life she felt close to her son. A very determined lady. May she RIP.

But Mo

Isn't that the idea, life on earth is to sort the baddies out from goodies like me, and then send them to Hell :)
As for anyone coming back, well if its as good as some suggest, and we had someone coming back with the photos, everyone would be killing themselves to get there ASAP.

Ray, you started a sensitive post , now you have changed it albeit TIC. Anne Williams lost her son at 15 years old in a senseless incident. She fought for justice , not just for her son but for all the other victims. I don't think she would have gone running to join him, she had a job to do and after all these years she was able to see the outcome.

If the lady was religious and believed in the thereafter I truly hope she finds what she’s looking for...If she doesn’t then she can rest in peace knowing she helped get justice for her son and the other 96 victims who were so cruelly taken from their families.

RIP Anne

Likewise, there is no factual evidence that it does not exist...QED.

This thread, very early on, deviated from its original purpose, to pay tribute to a very special lady, and developed into an, is there or isn't there a heaven and personal beliefs; whatever you think, she never gave up.

If anyone wants to debate the, is there or isn't there aspect, I suggest it is for another thread.
