The name PEZ (as in PEZ candy) comes from the german word PfeffErminZ (which apparently means peppermint).
PEZ was actually invented as an alternative for smoking.
That's about as useful as most of your other posts Ken, since I have never heard of PEZ, candy or otherwise.

PEZ… are they the ones that had a really fancy dispenser? I think you used to see adverts for them in ‘60s comics but rarely saw them in the local shops. (NE England.)

I found out today (from this site) that viruses could be killed. :D

For years it has been a mystery when the ' Cerne Abbas Giant ' was carved into the hillside, it was thought to be during the medieval period. Yesterday I discovered that it was in fact done during late Saxon times ie between ad400 and ad1065.

We used SNAFU regularly when I worked at Millbank.
I assume that it still means the same 😂

IKEA stands for Ingvar Kamprad Elmtaryd Agunnaryd
This is the initials of the founder (IK), the farm that he grew up on (E), and the town he is from (A)

Indeed since I took a pro-EU stance that apparently makes me an "Apologist" (which would tie-in with what I have been called many times on this board) and I found out what that makes those that are anti-EU (which given the recorded demographic explains a lot). I am bowing to the posters much greater experience on their affliction.

I just did, which bit are you having trouble with and I will explain further. If you disagree you would have to take that up with the poster that defined the terms (I am just the messenger using the information as supplied) - maybe they didn't quite comprehend what they were posting?.

Apparently, Guinness estimates that 93,000 liters of beer are lost in facial hair each year in the UK.

That does not mean I am going to start snogging hairy men.
