I respectfully suggest that some people - no matter how polite the request - do not feel the need to justify themselves or their beliefs.

Mo, would you like to engage in a little light hearted banter? It is good for the soul.
Right, here goes, we can start gently - how's the weather up in the frozen north today?

Brilliant! Down here in the south (where MM comes from - back on topic)! it is sunny with a bit of a nip in the air, and I don't mean the Japanese tourists
Now, tell me Mo, there is a poster on here called Romig who is also from Yorkshire and he can be, to put it bluntly, a bit of a git. Is he a git because he's from Yorkshire or would he still be one if he was from a normal place like the south of England?

I can only speak for myself, Mo, but I have difficulty in understanding why, if you don't want to explain why you hold certain views, you would come on to a discussion board and say you had those views. I should have thought it better to keep the matter to myself.Mo2013 wrote:

Ha ha - 'nippon' the air - I live around 200 miles from London so it's got to be warmer darn sarf hasn't it, because it's further sarf. if you think Romig can be a bit of a git, well, it's not because he's a Yorkshire lad.

Shiney chap, having just seen that you described the beautiful game as 'poxball' on another thread, you are scoring a whopping 8 on the gitometer!Silver_Shiney wrote:I'm from way up north, but now living in the south. I think it is a fitting tribute to old Degsy that in a few short posts I have manged to be offensive about one named member, people from Yorkshire, Arsenal supporters and the Japanese

Re: Monocled Mutineer
I am fascinated as to how a discussion about someone who has never (I think) posted on this forum can run to 10 pages of comments.
Incidentally although currently only 10 pages the index page says there are 11, and similar errors occur on most other threads.
Do we have gremlins in the system or did our esteemed leader mis-programme something?

I felt comfortable that the discussion was largely in favour of him with some light banter thrown in for good measure. However as the debate has developed I also realise there were many people who were far less enamoured and since it is unacceptable to be discussing those who are unable to fend for themselves it denies his 'detractors' a voice and the debate becomes one-sided. As a reminder John's original post was:
Does he post on here at all?
I miss his views and discussions with him.
He is certainly a Ram not a Sheep.
Post 37 April 17th.
I expressed a similar opinion.
Amazed that the thread is still active.

Now about these Yorkshire "gits" .... being Yorkshire born and bred I can confirm there are quite a few around but not "dear" Romig he's just a "pussycat" but with the lovely Wina to keep him "in check" that is no surprise, which just goes to prove there are "some" nice people in Yorkshire.

Dear Giant, don't be naughty you support the Saints! I'm not sure I want to know what Nippy Nibbles are but you really shouldn't be so unkind about the lovely folk of Yorkshire
