Covid Vaccination Status
In case anyone missed the announcement yesterday - here it is. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/demonstrati ... ing-abroad
Either NHS app or paper.
I have had the NHS app for some time but it is a bit of a palaver to set up.

Excellent. I have the App but would rather have a piece of paper that works if the airport wi-fi is dodgy!

Re: Covid Vaccination Status
So does that mean the card we currently have with the two vaccination entries on it will be obsolete, or is this digital format for additional security.

Re: Covid Vaccination Status
I'm pretty sure this is only England at the moment.
I'm sure it doesnt work in Walss, but I may be wrong. Perhaps Gill might be able to tell us.

Correct - England only
I would suspect that the card is very easy to forgeStephen wrote: 08 May 2021, 16:19So does that mean the card we currently have with the two vaccination entries on it will be obsolete, or is this digital format for additional security.

Yes mine is showing. It would be really useful if there was an option to include a second person on the same login. Trish doesn't have a smartphone so it would be great if mine could show both of us.

Just have two logins - or put your hand in your pocket and buy Trish a smartphoneMervyn and Trish wrote: 15 May 2021, 08:20It would be really useful if there was an option to include a second person on the same login

I thought of that but imagine the faff at immigration to a foreign destination when you have to show them one and then log out and back in again!david63 wrote: 15 May 2021, 08:23Just have two logins - or put your hand in your pocket and buy Trish a smartphoneMervyn and Trish wrote: 15 May 2021, 08:20It would be really useful if there was an option to include a second person on the same login![]()
She wouldn't want a smartphone. She has a pay as you go which she uses for texts mainly and occasionally calls and tops up about ยฃ20 a year!

On the Home page just after you have logged it.
Are you looking at the correct app? - it is the NHS app not the NHS Covid app

Re: Covid Vaccination Status
Just spent a few mins trawling through the NHS App and discovered there is a thing called Linked Profiles whereby Trish can be added to my App. Has to be done via GP. Once done can view either of us without logging out and in again. There's a job for next week then.

I can access Paulines data via my login, but not the covid vaccines. I an going to try and create her own account on my phone, it should work, although I may need to use our secondary e-mail account.Mervyn and Trish wrote: 15 May 2021, 08:20Yes mine is showing. "Good" news on the indian variant. Hancock has said that it seems to primarily attacking those that have not yet been vaccinated yet. As he said
"This shows the new variant is not tending to penetrate into older, vaccinated groups and it underlines again the importance of getting the jab especially โ but not only โ amongst the vulnerable age groups.โ

The importance of getting the jab when offered it has definitely been shown in Bolton. Of those in hospital with the Indian variant, most are the ones who declined to take up the offer of the jab when they had the chance.
It's of their own making, no sympathy from me but I hope they make a speedy recovery.

Ken, I'm sure you knew what I was on about, but just to make it clear, it's the covid vaccination confirmation letter showing you have had the two injections.
