E10 Petrol

Unread post by david63 »

Just read this about the new grade of petrol that will be appearing later in the year.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-57585105

You can check if your car is compatible here https://check-vehicle-compatibility-e10 ... ufacturer/

Sounds like the stuff I run my lawn mower on.
Don't worry, be happy

Don’t think my ‘Clean’ Diesel would like it.

Sounds a bite like what we use to call two stroke petrol.

Don’t suppose for one minute it will be any cheaper than the current fuel offerings.

It looks like both our cars are compatible, even the old 2007 one.

I remember on my first motorbike having to fill with petrol and then measure out two stroke oil and pour it into the tank. At first you did it carefully and then after a while you just gave it a quick glug.

Only one of my cars will work with E10, fortunately the current offering will still be available ... I wonder for how long though.
