It’s already 27 deg here - we’ve had one of these extreme weather warnings. On Sunday evening I was putting car in garage and it was 31 - unbearable

That is true. The last time we got a car in our garage was an original Mini, and that only just fitted.

Mine's a Mini Merv but today's Mini's are enormous compared with the ones we had years ago - I passed my driving test in a Mini many moons ago

Trish had three old Minis. Two secondhand ones and then a brand new black one. She loved them. She now has a convertible Fiat 500 which is a real fun car.

Since our move to an apartment we only have an outside parking space, so my poor car is suffering withdrawal symptoms, although the heavy rain of 10 days ago did clean it up for a short time.

Just been thinking, our first house we had a garage in a block of eight as a footpath ran along the frontage. I had a Ford Sierra Sapphire. I parked it as close to the garage wall as I could and just managed to get out of the driver's door with the help of a piece of carpet stuck to the wall to save the edge of the car door.
Moving to a bungalow with a large garden and after the squeeze of the previous garage, I built a double garage I can get into easily with still six foot behind the car, in one corner an office for when I was still working, it's now the wife's craft room and a workshop area in the other corner. I can get loads of stuff in, and the car does live in there as well.

That has been the major problem Merv, I thought we had disposed of all that was unwanted before the move, but we have kept the charity shops busy since we moved in getting rid of everything except the essentials.
My poor eldest son's garage has also been the repository of anything large that may be needed in future. Fortunately he has never used his garage for his car.

What are you going to do when Boris bans log fires to help him achieve his carbon neutral target?

So once you have burnt all the logs, what will you find to do with the garage.
I have had a thought, you could, maybe, put a car in there?

Tragedy. Just been enjoying the evening air in the garden with a glass of wine and completely forgot to watch the Dom interview. Gutted.

It’ll be a few years yet. I had thought about a pool table.
