Anyone else struggling with these carnivorous beasts?

Keith the solution is simple and only requires you to have two half bricks. They must be the red coloured clay bricks, not the grey rough aggregate sort (sometimes called breeze block) and ideally the older type that are bit squarer at the edges (circa 1930's if possible).

The first step is to identify the males. You then sneak up behind them and smash their crown jewels between the two half bricks. From a humane point-of-view it doesn't kill them (assuming your aim is true) but It stops the little blighters from breeding again.

Thanks for that tip Ken but where do you suggest I stick the magnifying glass? the bloody things are near invisible to the naked eye…however, I’ve got the types of brick you are suggesting… how about if I throw them at them?

We had a few getting on the hair and skin itching to annoying, but not a bad outbreak and with the storms forecast should knock them down this weekend.

If I remember correctly Ray it was about this time last year that they made an appearance….looking forward to a bit of rain as I’ll be able to sit out under the parasol I’ve recently purchased.

I was given that advice too. I asked if it hurt. They said no, so long as you are careful to keep your thumbs put of the way.
