World War 111
Well, you would have thought so if you had just witnessed what I have just seen…fighter jets x 3 plus a Chinook helicopter, they were so low that when the Chinook went over the needles on our Yew Tree rained down as if it was snowing.
Real spectacle

Looking like you've been rumbled, literally.
What a wonderful spectacle when out on the fells to see a jet fly down the valley at low level so you are looking down on it.

We sometimes get the Red Arrows flying over our house from their base in Lincolnshire to RAF Valley on Anglesey or other west coast destinations.

We were once out on the hills opposite Leeds Bradford airport watching the aeroplanes taking off and landing when the Queen's Commemorative Flight flew past. What a wonderful sight that was.

It is indeed Foxy and I’ve been fortunate to have witnessed it on many occasions. We used to have a caravan sited at a place called Machynlleth and it was from there aircraft of every description used to do flybys. They flew in from Anglesey traveling down the coast turning to come up the Dovey Estuary and on to what is known as the 'Mach Loop'. This is a video I took recently…and yes it took about the same time as the last one I postedoldbluefox wrote: 23 Jul 2021, 14:56Looking like you've been rumbled, literally.
