Re: Karcher window cleaner
Mine came on Wednesday, it has been working overtime this morning, windows are sparkling.
I did have to stop while it re-charged, you were right about that Dancing Queen.
Thanks for the recommendations everyone.

Serendipity - so glad you are pleased with your purchase.
I know this has been mentioned before, but, I find the smaller head very useful also.
Happy cleaning

Ours also arrived on Wednesday from the Karcher outlet. DH cleaned the windows outside yesterday and they sparkle. Now he needs to sort the inside ones.
Thanks everyone for your recommendations.

What I would like to know is where do you find these men that clean windows ... mine always seems to have something much more "pressing" to do if I mention they need cleaning

The men do the most important bit and you wouldn't be able to operate without them.

Now get on with your jobs!!

Well done Jean.
Tell him it's always worth paying that little bit extra for a wife. You only get what you pay for and it's quality that counts.
Runs for cover and hides with Onelife
(btw how can you be labouring and on the computer at the same time? Tell him he needs a refund!!!)

Re: Karcher window cleaner
You are sooooo wrong DK ... I certainly don't have a problem getting my hands wet but the Karcher just takes all the hard work out of cleaning windows ( and they are smear free ) worth every penny of the "fifty quid" or so if you have a lot of windowsDark Knight wrote:Nah, some people have more money than sense and don't get their hands wet![]()

The main reason I bought one Noddy was because I have a very large conservatory and it is hard work not just the outside but the inside toonoddy10 wrote:We were thinking about buying one to clean conservatory windows takes the wife ages .....poor thing anything to make her life easier. Isn't it strange how we get things wrong .... I would have sworn you were female

Re: Karcher window cleaner
I am a dab hand at cleaning windows, with a window cleaning kit as used by the window cleaners, who call round to clean your windows. I have the full kit including the scrims cloths, which have to be boiled.
I am as fast as any window cleaner.
However I have found the Karcher to be so much faster and easier, and certainly less messy.

Senior Citizens day today so we have just gone to BQ and bought a Karcher WV60 so hopefully hubby will enjoy his new toy and clean the windows - trouble is, I think it is due to rain over the next few days so it may not get used until next dry spell. It was useful to read everyone's opinion.

Re: Karcher window cleaner
This thread reminded me that we bought one of these four years ago since when it has been gathering dust in the garage. I dug it out today and taught Mrs K how to use it
She is delighted
Went online to order some more concentrate (£8 for 500ml) and saw that the machine is now on offer direct from Karcher for £40. That's two visits from the window cleaner - we'll still let him do the outside, though, especially upstairs, but it does make the insides much easier and does an excellent job.
Many thanks for the reminder Mrs Capp.

kaymar,
That's wonderful news! It's nice to think when you treat your good lady from time to time it is appreciated. What a thoughtful gesture on your part.
