Good luck to both of you 👍
Hopefully it won’t go to penalties.

We’ve got Cheltenham at home.
Wouldn’t expect there to be much above three thousand fans attending.
There is little interest in this cup.

That's what I like about the League Cup, you get to see players that don't normally play ...
I reckon Deeney and Foster will play ... just saying

I see Watford left it until the last five minutes to score. Gillingham out on penalties and Bournemouth took a heavy defeat.

A scratch team with a centre half up front in the second half.
I’d have liked to go through but it’s maybe a blessing given our light numbers.

With only 4 changes to our 7 Palace should have walked it, they had most of the possession and opportunity but failed once again to find the net. Clinton Morrisey-ish on Sky's footy special said that Palace need another winger plus a center forward ... Andre Gray and Isaac Success sprung immediately to mind ;)

We were all over them, one way traffic for most of the game. But if you can't put the ball in the back if the net you ain't going to win and that's our problem. It's been the same problem for a number of years now. Still who's bothered, it's a tin pot trophy anyway.

Kane stays but says he will be there for the summer to support the team ... blah, blah, blah. Does that mean he will transfer to City in January ?

Palace need a Center forward and a winger so they buy a mid-fielder from Watford ?

Watford offered Hughes a 5 year contract but his wages would reduce if Watford were relegated, I assume Palace did not have such a clause in the event they are relegated.

Good move for Watford, we can buy two decent replacements for the fee that Palace paid

Seems strange.
Our manager at Gillingham is complaining that he doesn’t have enough forward while simultaneously signing midfield players.

Away to West Ham today. Don't know why I'm going to be honest. It's a horrible ground to watch football, very shallow stands means your miles away from the pitch. It's okay getting in but when you come out after the game you are made to walk right round the ground because the police insist on a one way system. You can see where you want to be but it takes ages to get there. Still it will be worth it if we get at least a point (unlikely)

As for Will Hughes I don't think we have signed him yet. Ain't seen nothing on the Palace web site. There are rumours but I take no notice of them. I hope the rumours are true though, Hughes is a good player.

I agree with that Bensham
It’s a truly horrible stadium.
Even my West Ham friends hate it.
Nice flats on Upton Park though 😁

Could this be the year they are relegated, I wonder, but somehow I doubt it. Of course as well as having been in the top tier since 1919 and never been relegated, they actually were never promoted either, they were appointed to the First Division on the resumption of football in 1919, despite only finishing 5th in Div 2 in 1915, when football was eventually suspended.

Watford loanee Dan Phillips sees red for the Gills on Saturday.
We all love a tough tackler but fighting on the ground takes it a bit far. 😂
The game ended with four reds and the ref blowing before time because he’d totally lost control.
Back to ref school I think.

I listened to the local radio commentary yesterday with wonder and amazement, not only were we winning, we were playing attractive attacking football, and scoring goals. It just seems to prove that football, especially at lower league level, is more about confidence. It seems that this improvement in the quality of our football has coincided with the inclusion of Norwich loanee Danel Sinani into the team so I hope he stays fit.

No chance of an appeal for Phillips 😁
Bang to rights
They are appealing against the assistant manager red card.
It was like WWE with their reserve keeper straight arming him and pinning him to the ground.
The ‘offence’ was reminding the ref that he had booked one of their players twice but forgot to send him off.
As I said, that guy will be back to park football next week.
