Tesco website down over weekend

Unread post by Kendhni »

Normally we prebook our orders well in advance and throw random goods into the basket to make it at least £40 (for free delivery - although most of the time they give it free even if it is less than £40). We then fix the order up on Saturday for delivery on the Sunday.

But their website had been down all weekend so we couldn't update their order and I had no idea what I had put in the basket as a placeholder. We know the Tesco driver personally and he knows just to leave it in our garage. So we came home and I found out I had placed 6x24 Tesco toilet rolls in my basket. So we have no food but plenty of stuff to clean it up with. :)

And I had been trying so hard trying to get our stick of toilet rolls down.

Ha ha

I am waiting for my Sainsburys order this morning.
Just for once no loo rolls in our order.

My wife has just gone online only to find the glitch has wiped off all of her favourites….I’ve locked her in until she calms down

Yea I noticed that 'favourites' and 'usuals' seem to have disappeared as well.
In my case that may be handy - toilet rolls was on that list.

I saw an item being reported that one lady always put a single banana as her placeholder. Apparently that is exactly what they delivered to her yesterday ... a big blue tray with a single banana in it.

The driver was also telling me that someone had a single bottle of a very expensive whiskey. When he took it to the house it turned out the husband had done it as a joke thinking his wife would take it out when she did the shopping. Needless to say it went back.

I found the same but looking at items in individual categories the "heart" symbol indicating favourites is still there,
Perhaps we will get our favourites back when they finish sorting things out

I went to Tesco yesterday to get a few bits. No problems or glitches 😂
I then poodled down to Lloyds to pay some business invoices. Again, no problems or glitches.😂
