The ' Stadium Tour ' that I mentioned eaarlier was c 1974 rather than in recent years.

At that time we lived within walking distance of a number of the United players also Fergie and Hurricane Higgins, they all seemed fairly normal-ish in those days. For me Fergie was a great Manager and made United play like a well oiled team, sadly that for me is no longer the case. As a Watford supporter I was in the Stretford end when Luther Blissett scored the 2 goals that put United out of the League Cup in 1978 ... I was also in the stand at Northampton when Besty and co walloped the Cobblers 8:0
Are you sure it was 74 Moby.? F :problem: Fergie didn’t arrive till 86. At that time it was the Edwards dynasty that ran Utd and they were miserable gits, Louis Edwards owned the company that supplied meat to the Schools etc.
We were on Ventura in the Carribean in 2012, Tommy Docherty was on board and did an evening chat show. He had no love for Utd after they sacked him, let’s be honest, you can’t run off with the physios wife and hope to stay.! He said that he asked for tickets for a match and they charged him.! Nobody gets a freebie.

I’ve followed Utd since I was 10. I’ve been through the good and the bad and will continue to.

I don't detest Man U, but I do generally support their opponents in the PL, but I am happy for them when they win in Europe. Having said that I did hope that they would be successful under Mourinho, probably because I quite like the arrogant barstwd.

I hadn't intended to link the Cub Tour request with Fergie ... just United and yes it was 1974-ish

It was a good day for my team today, 3 more points towards an early relief from relegation, but it was tinged with some sadness that Jeff Stelling announced that this will be his last season hosting Soccer Saturday, and that he will be leaving Sky Sports at the end of the season.
He has definitely earned a place in the pantheon of great TV sports presenters.

Will always remember Jeff Stelling and his link with "I don't know Jeff" Chris Kamara which is one of the funniest I have seen.

Nobody told my lot that the referee had blown his whistle 20 minutes ago. By the time they woke up we were 2-0 down

And indeed great result for Palace

Not only a great result but well deserved me thinks. We got a bit of luck as well which you need I wished I'd gone now but chose to give this one a miss. I went to see Bromley 0 v FC Halifax 0. Good game though.

Who's Jeff Selling? ain't seen much of him but I've heard of him. Supports Hartlepool I think.

I watched the Leicester game in the bar at Bromley. They were by far the better team but Ramsdale in the Arsenal goal was absolutely superb. That save from Madison's free kick was one of the best.

We had twenty shots on goal.
Seven on target.
Scored nil.
Seven draws in sixteen matches.
That’s what gets you in trouble.

That was a sickener for Huddersfield conceding a late goal in injury time.
And at last the Canaries have won

That's 5 points we've thrown away from winning positions in the last 2 games.

We’ve got it bad to the point where we could only field five on the bench on Saturday in the cup and one of those was a keeper and three were eighteen year old youth players.
All four outfield players needed to come on due to more injuries and one of the youth players scored the equaliser.
Evans isn’t sure that he can put a team out against Sheffield Wednesday next week due to injuries.
Interesting times in the lower leagues.
We have a squad of 23 including loanees.
The Watford lad has gone back temporarily because we broke him.
The QPR lad has gone back in a hissy fit because he couldn’t get game time.
The Norwich lad played regularly but went off injured Saturday.
We are literally down to the bare bones.
I’ve never known a season like it for injuries.

Nightmare.!

Utd have a fully fit squad but are hopeless because they are not being coached properly.Manager and coaching staff are not good enough for any other top flight team so why do they think they’re good enough for Utd.?

Nasty tackle.
Went off injured.
Went back to Hornets for treatment.
Haven’t seen him since.
Shame because he played regularly and got stuck in.
I assume he’ll be back when recovered.

There's no mention that I can find on the Watford site.

Not in his profile nor the regular ' Loan Watch ' feature. Odd that.

Dan Phillips is still on the official site and shows he’s out on loan.
Hopefully he’s on the way back 👍

He’s definitely injured. I saw him limp off.
We’ve once again had mixed results with loan players.
We have a Chelsea young keeper who is first choice and has been superb.
Dan Phillips did well in midfield when he played.
A young QPR forward has already been returned and scored a hat trick yesterday for QPR under 23’s.
Adshead from Norwich plays occasionally and either dominates or is invisible.
It’s a tricky one for the manager.
We finished Saturday’s match with four home grown teenagers and to be honest, all seemed comfortable. 18 year old Sithole scored the equaliser and looked very lively.
I suppose the question is, are bigger clubs youngsters better than our own youngsters?

Our young West Ham starlet striker has made about one inauspicious substitute appearance, and earlier this week he played for our U21 team, I hope the hammers are paying us for his experiences.

It’s usual for the loan club to pick up a percentage of the wage.
Last season we had two lads from Arsenal and they were the clubs top earners 😂
Neither managed to break into our first team regularly.
