That was a surprise
Just noticed a fox laying in the flower bed opposite the back door. Amazed how he got in the garden since the gap under the gate is quite shallow. He seemed quite bright eyed and content and didn’t look injured, but going by his coat was obviously old. He wasn’t at all bothered about me going back and forth to the garage passing within a few feet of him.
Next, what to do about him. While Mrs S was trying to contact someone for advice I just opened the side gate and went back indoors. Lo and behold we saw him saunter across the road like and old man that he probably is and disappear under a neighbours laurel hedge. Poor old thing

Maybe he was hoping you may just have given him a meal.
Or did you give him directions to O L's chickens.

Don't worry, be happy

Couple of questions ...
1. Did he have a contented look ?
2. Have you seen the cat recently ?

It had crossed my mind but we didn’t want to encourage him back. We don’t think he’ll be around much longer.

Actually he did look contented. As for Monty, he was settled in doors doing what he does best…..sleeping
