The old Den was a bit scary, you didn't wear colours there. We never had any bother though, just kept our mouths shut.
No such worries at the New Den. As soon as you come out if the station you take an immediate right and there's a caged walk way, all the way to the away end and coppers every where. You hardly see a Neanderthal , you can here them grunting away but rarely see them.

Re: Football 21/22
Just been announced........Crystal Palace FC regret to announce that our away fixture against Watford on Saturday 18 Dec has been cancelled due to on going covid problems with in the Watford camp.
I'm quite happy with that. Although I had a ticket, we decided last night not to go. I've also got a ticket for the Tottenham game in Boxing Day. Will it go ahead?Who knows, we will decide nearer the time. I'm not bothered about the cost of the tickets, if need be I'll get me money back. I just hope that the season can continue, I won't survive another behind closed doors scenario.

Re: Football 21/22
We’re off on Saturday due to covid.
To be honest, we have eleven out injured at the moment and are literally playing 16 & 17 year olds to make a team and bench so it couldn’t have come at a better time.
Hopefully Ipswich at home on Boxing Day will also be off and we will have something resembling a first team for the Charlton game.

Re: Football 21/22
We’d love the luxury of three goalies
On a slightly different note, I am quite surprised by how few professional footballers have been vaccinated.
One of our players is pretty vocal about his reluctance to get vaccinated

It seems that many of them are part of ' Vegan ' families who collectively are against the testing of vaccines on animals and therefore they are able to find an objectionable meat connection.
ps ... two of our goalies were quite young, both were in fact still wearing shorts

Re: Football 21/22
Premier League decimated by covid by about half of EFL fixtures lost as well yet still the authorities won't bring in a circuit break' until the New Year. Seems barmy to me, then what do I know?
Instead of travelling to Watford today I'm at home watching a brilliant game of rugby
on BT.

Re: Football 21/22
Klopp doesn’t think a break is necessary, we’ll he would think that. Liverpool are doing very well and don’t stand to have a fixture pile up unlike some teams.

I’m amazed that Newcastle didn’t beat City because according to the majority of their fans, there was nothing wrong with the team and it was all about Steve Bruce being a crap manager.

That's what happens when you listen to the experts on the terraces. It doesn't matter whether it's health, education, politics these experts always know better and believe everything social media, TV and the newspapers tells them.
Some of the pundits are often failed managers themselves but they have plenty to say how the game should be run. It might help if some of them learnt to speek proppa english like wot I do.
Christmas rant over............for now. Merry Foxy Christmas!!!

I see that Eddy has started to introduce his ' how to win a penalty ' tactics like wot he did at the Cherries a few years back. They were awarded more pens than the rest of the league put together at one stage

I'm not going to Tottenham today, don't want to be on the train and tube at this time. A waste of £30 but.....it is Christmas. We are live though on BT Sport. 3 pm kick off.
