Are they doing the whole roof Keith or just the damaged area, and will it be all done before Christmas.

Asking for a friend who’s after some new tiles :)

They are just repairing the damaged areas which should take two days...so I've been informed.

Why does Foxy need tiles….I thought he lived in a caravan? :)

He wants to go all posh and keep up with the other pikey's on site. I've heard some have even gone for a thatch finish.

Bu99er, I forgot, no names should have been mentioned.

Hi Foxy…they managed to do most of the front elevation damage yesterday. They are bringing their own scaffolding to do the side elevation as it isn’t something they can do from a ladder…all going well we should be watertight by tomorrow afternoon.

They have left their ladders here so no chance of a no show....I've made good use of the ladders as my wife has been out cleaning the windows  ;)

Don't get too confident - just wait until Friday night when you get a sleigh and a load of reindeers landing on it

Glad you're roof is now water tight, apart from the first few days you have been very fortunate with such dry weather.

I’m open to any genuine offers Ray but please bare in mind sledge and reindeers come as extras…I will however give a large discount for any purchaser who is prepared to remove a load of rubbish from behind our house. ;)

We have indeed John although we could have done without the anticipated frost tonight as cement doesn't cure too well in minus temperatures.

Perhaps now is a good time to thank you all for your kind get well messages…your laughs and good wishes have helped in what has been a very stressful couple of weeks.

Thank you.

You have my sympathy for the stress you must have suffered, it was always a major worry that our roof could suffer serious damage where we used to live, and I dreaded the high winds. Our new 1st floor flat in a 3 story block no longer poses the same worries, if we do suffer any damage at least our roof should still be intact and the stress level will be much less.

Thanks Foxy that would be great and I’ll be happy to double the price if they can find a nice front garden in Cumbria to dump it in.
