Re: Happy Families
Not being a member or a close friend of the Royal Family I am not in a position to judge what is the truth.
A constant drip feeding of possible going ons among certain members by our illustrious press, to some of it's readers, must be the truth. So the small snow ball starts to grow until its so big there's no stopping it.
Just like dear old Foxy, he says he has no time for them, but he follows the posts just to reiterate he has no time for them.
Bet he watch Eastenders and Coronation Street.
The same problem re the press follows Boris and anyone they can get their filthy fangs into, but the people will believe..

Re: Happy Families
Some of the revelations from Me Again and Harry were personal to the Royal Family and, like my own private business, that is where it should have stayed.
I am astonished to believe anyone can be taken in by somebody who gives their "version of the truth". Is that an admission that what she says may not be the truth and more than likely is not?
And no Ray, I don't watch Eastenders, or Coronation Street, nor Neighbours or Emmerdale.

Re: Happy Families
The simple truth Foxy is that we are all influenced by what is orchestrated through the mediaā¦being able to read between the lines is where the truth lies and as far as the āFirmā are concerned the best we can do is speculate and express opinions on what we believe to be the truth.oldbluefox wrote: 27 Dec 2021, 15:53Some of the revelations from Me Again and Harry were personal to the Royal Family and, like my own private business, that is where it should have stayed.

ā¦ā¦
There may be a few exceptions within the Royal family but most of them are well versed in manipulating the press to do their biddingā¦. whilst I see some of Meghanās flaws, plus a few mistruths, I can understand why she along with all the other commoner brides have had to resort to such acts of self-preservation.
On that note I would remind those who have contributed on this thread that my opening post was one of expressing an opinion as to how happy they looked in the photoā¦. which I know you will all agree with me when I say they do.
I do however accept that there are some who may think I was just being mischievous in provoking a reaction

Re: Happy Families
That may apply to some but the biggest influence of all was the Oprah interview - and there was no "reading between the lines" in that - Megan said it all.

Re: Happy Families
I noticed that the Queen's Christmas speech and a tribute to Prince Philip were showing on the TV although I have to confess to not watching either off them. As for ' poor me ' and ' me me me ' I didn't see the picture but in truth I have no wish to.

It annoys me that the papers publish photos issued by Princess Markle and Harry when they told everyone how much they hate constantly being in the media limelight.
The British press should follow their wishes by ignoring them entirely

Re: Happy Families
I think the problem is they want their privacy when it suits them but are actually very happy to be in the limelight at their celebrity functions. You can't have it both ways.

I thought it was well staged, but most families could photograph just as well, if they had the resources the Sussex's have.Onelife wrote: 28 Dec 2021, 10:39Putting that aside what did you think of the family photo?allatc wrote: 28 Dec 2021, 09:42It annoys me that the papers publish photos issued by Princess Markle and Harry when they told everyone how much they hate constantly being in the media limelight.

I thought it came across as one of thoseā in the momentā natural photographsā¦much better than those staged Royal ānow smileā photographs that look like they have a steel rod shoved up their a*se to keep them sitting up straight.towny44 wrote: 28 Dec 2021, 13:39I thought it was well staged, but most families could photograph just as well, if they had the resources the Sussex's have.Onelife wrote: 28 Dec 2021, 10:39Putting that aside what did you think of the family photo?allatc wrote: 28 Dec 2021, 09:42It annoys me that the papers publish photos issued by Princess Markle and Harry when they told everyone how much they hate constantly being in the media limelight.

Re: Happy Families
I take it you were preoccupied with your roof and haven't seen William and Kate's very informal Christmas card. They'll all be taken by a professional photographer. I doubt they used a box brownie.

The photo, featuring their three children, is from a family visit to Jordan earlier this year.
Cheapskatesā¦You would have thought they could have gone that extra mile and booked a camel for the day.

I can recommend The Midland Hotel
as a beautiful Art Deco building and lovely bird figures on the pier and along the promenade. It's not that bad.

Re: Happy Families
Maybe he could persuade Megs and Harry to do a summer season on Morecambe pier to boost the tourist trade. They could do days at Ripleys odditorium in Blackpool, and evenings in Morecambe.

Won't need to. Just have to wait for Me Again to have one of her "My version of the truth" Pinocchio moments.
