In reality Watford are presently not good enough to be in the Prem so although I wish Woy and Way well I don't really want to watch them play 8 : 1 : 1 for the rest of the seasonBensham33 wrote: 25 Jan 2022, 17:33You won't be calling Roy boring if he keeps you in the Premier League. Re: Football 21/22
Feel your pain Moby.
I watched Gills live last night and the first half was a bit of a shocker by both teams.
Second half much better and dominated but can’t find the net.
Akinde managed to scoop over from four yards then we hit the post and bar in the last ten minutes.
When your luck is out….

That's funny. I watched Palace for five years under Roy and Ray and never once did I see them play 8:1:1. I agree that Watford aren't good enough but if anyone can keep them up then it's Roy and Ray. Their only problem is time. Get excited MoB it's going to be a terrific end to the season.

Looks to me as if they are listening MoB. Listening to a master coach who also listens to them. A coach that will change things and will make them harder to beat. Yes it will be defensive at times but if you can stop the opposition from scoring and stick one in the net yourselves then you will win matches and that's what Watford need. Wins. It ain't going to be pretty but if anyone can keep Watford in the Prem Roy and to Ray can do it.
Besides I want to go to Vicarage Road next season. The day out at the 'Ornets, win lose or draw is our favourite away trip if the season.

Went to watch t' Hornets play Brighton at their old ground. At the third pub en-route they told us that the game was off due to heavy snow. We spent part of the day under the pier firing 2:2 rifles at targets too far away to see ... a beer haze was obviously the problem

To think Moby, Brighton used to be our tenants at Priestfield when they didn’t have a ground.

1 point wasnt much good for either of you, you would have been better tossing a coin to see who would throw the game for the other to win all 3.

It's a start from a losing position, from now on we will have Sarr and Dennis back to score goalstowny44 wrote: 06 Feb 2022, 13:341 point wasnt much good for either of you, you would have been better tossing a coin to see who would throw the game for the other to win all 3.

Yesterday was a brilliant match nearly 5000 'monkey hangers' made the trip down south. It was an amazing atmosphere.
We are at home to Stoke in the 5th Round.

Foxy, is your team frightened of playing us in the next round? Three down in the first half hour things are looking bleak.

On that performance you'd fancy your chances. Hopefully Brendan's thrown a few teacups around and given them the hairdryer treatment.towny44 wrote: 06 Feb 2022, 16:36Foxy, is your team frightened of playing us in the next round? Three down in the first half hour things are looking bleak.![]()

4 - 1 and that was a disgraceful performance - outplayed, outfought and overrun. Forest deserved it.

I was going to send you a private message about the game. I could not believe what I was watching. Forest absolutely overwhelmed Leicester, they really looked as though they wanted it and they didn't give the Leicester players any time on the ball, right up to the end there was a danger that it would be 5 - 1.oldbluefox wrote: 06 Feb 2022, 18:084 - 1 and that was a disgraceful performance - outplayed, outfought and overrun. Re: Football 21/22
The current joke at Luton is around how long Roy will be at Watford given their record at sticking with managers. Still we are looking forward to meeting them in the Championship next season, and giving hem a drubbing. If Nathan can keep the present squad together.Bensham33 wrote: 26 Jan 2022, 13:16Looks to me as if they are listening MoB. Listening to a master coach who also listens to them. You're right Frank. I don't mind losing if they have put up a good show and been beaten by a better team but watching that pathetic performance does not please me at all.Frank Manning wrote: 06 Feb 2022, 19:01I was going to send you a private message about the game. Re: Football 21/22
There was a period of about 15 minutes when Forest played some unbelievable football and scored 3 goals thereby knocking the stuffing out of the Foxes. There aren't many teams that could live with that amazing football. I'm just glad it wasn't us.

We made them look good. If you don't track your runners, if you lose your man and then look on like a rabbit frozen in the headlights you will get punished.
Whilst we Premiership players swaggered about they showed how motivated they were and how much it meant to them. Well deserved win for them.

Re: Football 21/22
We have played Forest twice this season, at home they thrashed us 2:0, away we beat them 1:0 but had a lot of defending to do. On both occasions Spence and Johnson were their best players, I think Spence could be as good as Alexander-Arnold, and Johnson would grace any PL side. We need to have all our injured players fit and be at the top of our game if we are to progress any further.
