Are all of your better players out on loan? Do you want a few of ours?
Oddly enough after this winter break many of the Premiership teams seemed to struggle against teams who had been playing on. Manu, Chelsea, West Ham, Liverpool, us all struggling against teams from the lower divisions. Maybe not such a good idea after all.

There are several out on loan who were very good in the Championship but less so in the Prem, some were also on very high wages so Watford had to get rid due to financial constraints.

We would like James Madison. I know you don't rate him but I think he is class. Chelsea won't let us keep Gallagher so Madison will do nicely to replace him next season. How much will he cost?

At one stage it was touch and go between him and Grealish but he has not hit those heights since he got injured. I doubt City would sell but he would not come cheap. For my money he is very lightweight and easily knocked off the ball although technically gifted. Yesterday it was predictable that he persistently changed play towards the right even when there was support on the left. Not wholly convinced by him.

The wife of the manager of Hartlepool FC has a brain tumour requiring drugs which cost £5000pw (?).
Crystal Palace FC and its supporters have raised in the region of £77k to pay for her treatment.
After the disgraceful behaviour of some of our so called supporters this shows the positive side of football and I congratulate CPFC on their generous gesture which sadly has not received the publicity it deserves.
Well done Palace

Thank you ObF.

There were 4700 Hartlepool fans at Selhurst Park on Saturday and Palace subsidised their coach travel so all the fans had to pay was £12.50.

The full story of Gemma Lee's illness can be found here

And you can donate there as well if you wish.

I wouldn't have known about it but it was on our local news last night. I would prefer that something like this was reported on national news instead of some of the usual drivel.

You seem to have given up MoB. Patience is what is required Roy and Ray won't turn it around straight away. They need time. Hopefully the Watford owners will give them a chance. There's still 15 games until the end of the season. I know that's enough time for at least 3 more Watford managers between now and the end of the season but stick with Roy. You won't regret it. (Maybe)

Something I have learned over the years as a Palace supporter, never give up. It ain't over, till it's over.

Don’t give up.
A few weeks back, we were eleven points from safety.
Now five.
Had we not conceded a late equaliser away today it would have been three.

You can only lose so many games before the Hornets chickens come home to roost. Actually I really enjoyed watching us win games in the Championship, at the end of the day we simply don't have the players to beat too many teams in the Prem. If they do survive it will be more battling to avoid relegation next season and that frankly is a rather depressing thought. When you lose to Norwich and Burnley one instinctively knows the game is up

On the subject of Managers did you know that somebody has reportedly spotted that Brenda has recently bought a house in the Footy Belt in the Prestbury / Alderley Edge region south of Manchester ? :shh:

I wouldn’t put anything past the clueless board at Utd.
It would be a bigger disaster than Ole or even Benitez at Everton.

He seems pretty clueless at City. In fairness we have had long term injuries to quite a few of our key players - Evans, Vardy, Fofana, Castagne and players such as Justin, Barnes and Maddison are coming back from injury.
My gripe with him at the moment is the lacklustre, slow, turgid football which is being served up which lacks any ambition or excitement. It's as if the life has been drained out of the side BUT we are very good at passing the ball around the back four, mainly because we haven't a clue what else to do with it.
That is a management and coaching problem. Any takers?

To be honest I would rather have Potter than Brenda. My preference is Ten Hag ,Poch at a push.! We need a more progressive manager, Nagelsman at Bayern would take a lot of prising away.

I can't see Brenda going to Manu. They will be looking to appoint somebody of higher calibre from one of the European teams.

I think they probably thought it was not intentional, which in all fairness it wasn't, he certainly did not deliberately move his arm to the ball.
