New to this forum
Hi everybody. I arrived home yesterday after a fabulous World cruise on the Aurora. DK was kind enough to let me know about this forum. I'm finding it a little confusing at the moment but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it. Meanwhile can someone tell me if we can send PM's as we used to on the P&O forum and if so how? :

Welcome home, Mary Jane!
As you probably know, the P&O site folded as soon as you left - they said there was no point in going on if you were not going to post a cruise report
Very pleased to hear that you enjoyed your cruise - how could you not?! and we are delighted that you found us here. You have an awful lot of catching up to do but it will keep you busy for a week or two while we wait for Spring.
Unfortunately, for one reason or another, not all of your friends have made it across the divide but you will recognise a couple of hundred or so, I guess, and there are a good few newbies for you to get to know. It will not take you long to get used to the forum and I'm sure you will find it more user-friendly than the P&O version.
Now, get back to your ironing.

Hi emjay. Welcome home and welcome to the site.
Another way of sending a PM - hover your mouse over the name of the person you are PMing (left hand side where their avatar is) A dropdown menu appears giving you the opportunity to PM. The only thing is it includes their post as a quote but you can easily delete that if you want.

Hi Emjay, nice to hear from you again. We were on the last leg of the same cruise so we may even have shared the same table! Glad you have joined us.

I might have been under my stage name of 'Robert'. Did you do any quizzes?

QB No I didn't do any quizzes. You must be confusing me with the other beautiful older lady on the ship. I did help another Bob out with one or two answers to one of the quizzes but I'm pretty sure it wasn't you.

Hi melsea and Dancing Queen
Melsea I read your cruise report avidly to find out what a World cruise would be like. I love the Aurora and it turned out to be a great experience.
Dancing Queen I did keep it quiet I was a little worried that a few of the reprobates on the forum would announce on Facebook that we were holding a party at our house and we'd come back to find the place burnt to the ground.
I was a little miffed not to be able to keep in touch while on the cruise. It's so good we have this forum. Thanks David
As to a cruise report maybe when I've done all the washing and ironing

So whose house were we partying at if it wasn't yours emjay? Are your neighbours still speaking to you?

OBF Oh Dear!!! We wondered what happened apparently the neighbours are in rented accommodation at the moment.
Fortunately when the police questioned us we were able to prove we were out of the country at the time.

I'm afraid my OH was relieved when the P&O forum was pulled. I think he missed me
I haven't the heart to tell him I've found an alternative and as I need help to put up an avatar it may take some time. I think my son will help me, we have to wait for the right time.

Find a suitable pic and then copy it for use on here cos it's gonna get shrunk to 100 x 100emjay45 wrote:... I need help to put up an avatar ...
' Shrink my pic '
To Upload ... User Control Panel (Cog ) / Edit Avatar / Browse to the shrunken pic / Submit.
Et voila
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being
