Been watching Big jet TV from Heathrow just after mid day. You have to admire the skill of the pilots, at the same time wondering how the passenger were feeling especially when they have to do a 'go around'.
So far no fence panels down, had to pop one panel back in with a jemmy and a second one looks like the neighbor kindly dealt with it before the wind damaged it.
I think it may now be starting to be over the worst.

Well, she wasn’t as tough as she thought she was, not in this area anyway. It got very windy about 2pm but has since abated to no more than a stiff breeze.

She has been horrible down here on the south coast. One side of my back garden fence is down completely and the way the other side is waggling about that might soon join it.I had to have it all replaced in 2014 after all the storms then. It's sill blowing like crazy and the forecast for the next 2 days is pretty grim as well.
Oh happy days!

Damm, one of my fence panels has been totaled. Was one that blew out earlier.

Sorry to hear that SB hope you can get it sorted soon.Southern Belle wrote: 18 Feb 2022, 17:30She has been horrible down here on the south coast. Just an afterthought, but would I be right in presuming your fence had wooden posts? If this is the case, and considering the likelihood of more frequent storms you might consider using concrete posts as replacements. Yes’ there is the initial expense but for peace of mind it might be worth considering….you’ll only have to do it once.

Two of our panels gone. To be fair they were pretty tatty but just blown to bits.
