Kids will be kids, but kids need to know where the boundaries lie…. if the little brat thinks its ok to ‘face off’ his mother than there’s work to be done at home or he’ll be sticking two fingers up to her at the next royal occasion.

Re: Prince Louis
I think it was a bit unfair to have expected a 4 year old to sit through that ... he must have been totally bored. Children often learn behaviour like that from their parents, who think it is cute and funny ... the first time.
I remember years ago seeing pictures in the media of a very young Harry making faces while being held by Diana ... it also made headline news. It isn't something I would read anything in to ... I don't think there is a parent alive that has not had to tell a child off for pulling faces.

It is a long time for a child to sit through that but his actions were unacceptable. His actions were not that of a frustrated child in my opinion, they were the actions of a child who has been allowed to get away with this kind of rudeness before.
I can tall you for a fact that had I done that to my parents they wouldn’t have found it cute or funny, they would have slapped my a*se with a wet hand.

I think your republican feelings are dictating your vision here OL. I saw nothing to say spoilt. By contrast in all the times he appeared I saw an entirely normal 4 year old boy with his family.

If you consider those actions completely normal for a 4-year-old then you are allowing your monarchist allegiances to cloud your vision of good parenting…imo.Mervyn and Trish wrote: 12 Jun 2022, 08:46I think your republican feelings are dictating your vision here OL. It may help if you put your thumb to your nose and wiggle your fingers next time you see him being a very normal 4 year old ... we liked him lots
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being

I read somewhere that the children had had loads of sweets beforehand - so it was also the sugar rush setting in too.

If we went to visit family we hated the inquest once we had left and were out of sight. That was when we found out all the things we had done wrong. What's not to say Louis didn't suffer the same fate? Having said that it was a long time to keep a lively four year old occupied and he had had a busy time for such a little one. But I'm sure Auntie Meghan would have known how to deal with the situation.

What we do know for sure is that if Archie was allowed to get away with those antics it would be plastered all over the papers… saying what bad parents he has.oldbluefox wrote: 12 Jun 2022, 10:12Can you imagine the headlines the next day with millions around the world watching your every move.Onelife wrote: 12 Jun 2022, 08:39It is a long time for a child to sit through that but his actions were unacceptable. Btw…They were not the action you would expect from a 4-year-old towards his mother, neither in the gestures or the intent in which he delivered them.

I thought Louis was delightful. A naughty little boy, just like most other 4 year old. Bless him.

Re: Prince Louis
He was a normal 4 year old who was bored at times, interested at times, looked for other things to do, was passed from one to another - exactly what I remember a four year old being like. Most people I've spoken to enjoyed watching him. No not 'a spoilt brat in the making.'

To be fair OL you are half right. There is a spoilt badly behaved brat in the Royal family. It's just not the one you think!

Re: Prince Louis
You are right of course but the spoilt little brat’s actions towards his mother were inappropriate nevertheless. The brat knew he could get away with it and will keep doing so until such time that the nanny is allowed to discipline the child appropriately.CaroleF wrote: 12 Jun 2022, 21:35He was a normal 4 year old who was bored at times, interested at times, looked for other things to do, was passed from one to another - exactly what I remember a four year old being like.
