They certainly won’t be wanting Penny Mordaunt going through after the demolition job she did on Angela Raynor and Ian Blackford…. Ouch!!!

Who couldn't,.Basil Brush could demolish Ian Blackford as for Angela Raynor. Nuff said.

Apparently, Conservative HQ wanted these debates so that the public could get to know the candidates.

The debates have been cancelled because people are getting to know them, and that seems to be a problem!

You're not wrong there Gill, however the same would apply to most MPs of all parties, which is probably why the media love to stage these confrontational debates.

Sir Hindsight to those who know him better, Sir Keir to everybody else.

If the bookies have got it right, and they normally do, it will be Sunak vs Truss in the final.

You don't air your dirty washing in public not even to satisfy the titillation of the media.
It's actually refreshing that they don't all agree with each other and can all offer something different but after last night's questions I'm not sure that's what the media were looking for.

But does Conservative HQ not realise that the majority of the public are not interested as they have no say in the outcome?

I thought one of the more enlightening questions last nights was the one where it was asked what their views were in relation to rail strikes…all but one said it should be left to the independent review body to recommend the level of increase….so now we know why they are considering strike action, if my memory serves me right the independent review body recommends the Government ignores.

It's a term used by trolls to try to get a reaction.

Some people need to lighten up. There was plenty in Bensham's post which could have been seen as confrontational but he had an opinion and expressed it rather forcefully. The reference to Sir Hindsight, I presume, was mild by comparison. It was certainly not as forceful as some parts of Bensham's post but who's bothered? I was happy to contribute a tongue in cheek answer to Bensham's question.
Besides, Bensham is a Palace supporter so he should be used to some stick!!!

I'm not quite sure whether some members of the forum know what trolling is, but that certainly wasn't. Taking into account who mentioned Sir Hindsight maybe there is a case of trolling but not from where you are suggesting. Sad.... :(

It was a good attempt to try and deflect Ken's comment onto Bensham, but it was doomed to fail, Ken is just too slippery not to have a good put down to hit you with.

There was no attempt to deflect at all. I wasn't offended by Benshams post but as usual it was Ken trying to make something of it which just wasn't there.
I will refrain from saying what I think of Ken.

Oi you lot, I'm here, I'm in the room.

My long, entertaining and informative post was not provocative in any way shape or form ObF. It was all true.

I certainly don't think anyone is trolling, I consider it as banter. If you can't take it don't dish it out.
