Does anyone think that I should relent and restore OL to his rightful position?

OL - you do not need to answer :lolno: :lolno:
You could change him to ‘Pot Washer.’

The narcotics squad would take too much of an interest.

Well let’s be honest, no one else takes much interest in him.

: Be careful about who you share a cabin with, on this ship. Cabin boys were fair game on cargo liners, and tramp ships, when I was at sea. Or so I was told. (ex Radio Officer)
O K frank, we are fairly open minded on here if there is something you need to get off your chest.
Don't worry, be happy

Just been looking at Iona and a possible 2022 seven night Christmas cruise. It didn’t last long after seeing the pricing

Fluid pricing Stephen. Thats a pretty.late booking for a school holiday cruise. We booked our Iona cruise on the first day it opened for Caribbean loyalty members. I've just booked summer school holiday flights for the same five people for next year. They cost us more than 40%, for flights alone, for what we paid for the two deluxe balcony cabins on Iona, for what is, with the OBC we got, a pretty much all inclusive holiday.

I was only looking Merv and seeing what was about. As you say, get in at the off for the best prices, which is what we often do.

Fluid pricing it may be, I call it taking the pi** when they want an additional £877pp if you want a standard balcony cabin on a deck that isn’t above or below a restaurant or theatre for a seven night cruise.

Mind you I could always substitute the cost by becoming a lift attendant going by the number of people that get in the lift and just stand there expecting you to say ‘what number’. Lazy s*ds

I’ll be knocking that on the head on our next cruise.

There was one silly ar*e who go in the lift and said ‘six please’ not realising he was already on deck six.

I love the ones who say "are you going up?" when the big red illuminated arrow outside is pointing down! And despite having 22 public lifts we still have the go up to go down brigade. Yes deck 7 to deck 6 via deck 18. My eldest granddaughter has grabbed your lift attendant job. She's lightning fast on the door shut button!

I’ll be having words with my union rep about her

Glad your enjoying the cruise and ship Merv, sounds like a ship we will have to try out

We are already booked on Ventura for 2023 and 24 so may look at her itinerary for 2025, unless a bargain turns up beforehand.

I thought that the concept that Covid was transmitted by touch was dismissed long ago

Surely the Cabin Boy should be polishing the buttons while the rest of us have a nice snooze?

If the buttons were made of copper there wouldn't be a problem to start with, allegedly.
