Agree Carole.

A bit like when you booked an package holiday at your travel agents and the excitement mounted when they phoned and said your tickets are ready to collect. Those were the days indeed.

Now it’s all email and do it yourself

We must also add that the price of our 2024 two week Med cruise is pretty similar to our 2009 two week Med cruise.
If it means a saving to diy the admin, count me in.

I must admit that I agree with you Carole regarding the layout of the brochure. I loved the little story that went with each cruise. I realise that the fleet size and the number of passengers involved means that the old brochure layout was not sustainable but it is still missed. In our house Mrs R no longer browses cruises but waits for me to trawl through the screens and put forward the most suitable options. We have just printed off e-tickets, luggage labels etc. and we recalled the excitement that used to accompany postie’s delivery of the fat envelope containing ticket booklets, luggage labels and usually a plastic wallet to hold all the bits and pieces. Ah well, things change…no more green Formica, savouries on the dinner menu, vegetables boiled to within an inch of their life and runs down the alleyway to bag a shower or bath!
