The picture of Health Secretary looks like she's just about to give someone a left hander

The King was not amused with all the clutter on the desk at the signing ceremony this morning which made me smile.

Re: [Split] Current Affairs - The Queen
As for Charles speech…It didn’t bring me to tears like what it did for many but I did think it was a well scripted and rehearsed speech which those of us who have lost our loving parents could relate to.
I thought the olive branch offered to Harry and Meghan was appropriate considering all the mistruths that have been said about them…. one can only hope that the influence Charles now has will curtail any further mistruths which have up till now been generated through the firm and exaggerated by the media.
As for the late Queen Elizabeth 11 may she rest in peace in the knowledge that her reign was one of dedication to her subjects and unquestionable service to her country.
R.I.P

It's her naval training ing, I thought she was superb.
Here's one for you all.
Our son works for the Principality building society, yesterday he donned a black tie out of respect to the Queen.
Was told he couldnt wear it, as it might offend a customer who didnt support the monarchy.
We live in the UK where we have a monarch and especially here in Wales we have a Prince of Wales. Wokism gone mad.

Hi Lindsey…While I lean more towards republicanism, I agree with you that a mark of respect is a personal expression and one which shouldn’t be influenced by others.Whynd1 wrote: 10 Sep 2022, 13:26It's her naval training ing, I thought she was superb.

Depends how many are determined to sabotage her. Ii noticed in her first speech she expressed the wish to work with those on all sides of the House to tackle the problems facing us, to be greeted by resounding silence from some and predictable jibes from others. It's all quiet for now but once the Queen's funeral is over I have no doubt the wolves will be howling again.

Yes, I thought she spoke very eloquently. I was just waiting for the nerves to kick in and a slip up, but no. Well done her.
I’d have co*ked it right up. I’d be asking if anyone has been to Pepper Pig World

I can’t print what I would have said Lindsey.
All this ‘frightened to offend someone’ has gone way too far in my opinion.

And if he didn't wear a black tie it might have offended someone who does support the Monarchy.

You are still terribly deluded about Me Me. I don't need anyone to tell me mistruths about her. I watched the bile she poured out on her Oprah interview myself and have seen the subsequent analysis of her mis remembering. She's a nasty manipulative piece of work, which is a real shame as at first I thought she was a breath of fresh air.Onelife wrote: 10 Sep 2022, 13:24As for Charles speech…It didn’t bring me to tears like what it did for many but I did think it was a well scripted and rehearsed speech which those of us who have lost our loving parents could relate to.

I wonder how she will twist the fact that her children can now be called prince and princess?

I don’t doubt there has been a certain amount of amnesia and indeed mistruths spoken by both parties, however. if there is to be any future for the Monarchy then bridges need to be built... or risk Harry and Meghan spilling the beans as to the real reasons Harry and William have fallen out…The new King sees the value in this by proclaiming his love for both Harry and Meghan, perhaps you as a Monarchist should also see the value in this.Mervyn and Trish wrote: 10 Sep 2022, 15:31You are still terribly deluded about Me Me. I felt it was a genuine gesture from Charles. After all, they say blood is thicker than water. But in Harry's case, who's blood

I don't like Miss Markle and feel that she is the reason for the brothers falling out. I just wish they could in some way heel this bad feeling between them but how, let's hope that it doesn't run too deep and is not irreparable.
Just been announced the Queen's funeral is Monday 19th September 11.00 am Westminster Abbey.

Keith, if you genuinely know the real reason for the fall out then you could elicit a fortune from any number of tabloids by selling the story however, if, as a republican, you are just speculating, then I wish you would stay silent.Onelife wrote: 10 Sep 2022, 16:01I don’t doubt there has been a certain amount of amnesia and indeed mistruths spoken by both parties, however. if there is to be any future for the Monarchy then bridges need to be built... or risk Harry and Meghan spilling the beans as to the real reasons Harry and William have fallen out…The new King sees the value in this by proclaiming his love for both Harry and Meghan, perhaps you as a Monarchist should also see the value in this.Mervyn and Trish wrote: 10 Sep 2022, 15:31You are still terribly deluded about Me Me. I'm not in the loop so maybe you could fill me in on the real reason the Princes fell out.Onelife wrote: 10 Sep 2022, 16:01I don’t doubt there has been a certain amount of amnesia and indeed mistruths spoken by both parties, however. if there is to be any future for the Monarchy then bridges need to be built... or risk Harry and Meghan spilling the beans as to the real reasons Harry and William have fallen out…The new King sees the value in this by proclaiming his love for both Harry and Meghan, perhaps you as a Monarchist should also see the value in this.Mervyn and Trish wrote: 10 Sep 2022, 15:31You are still terribly deluded about Me Me. Bur whatever it supposedly is, in the last few minutes the two of them, with wives, have come out of Windsor Castle together to view the floral tributes.

Which is great. I really hope the Sussexes don't resume twisting the knife when they return to the US. Meghan is getting a taste of how it could be this afternoon. As I said before the ball is now firmly in their court.
