At this early stage I’m going on personality’s so judging by last nights performances I’m putting up Matt Goss and Kym Marsh as my front runners…. Fleur East is already getting on my nerves so I hope she make an early exit.

I’ll go with that Keith.

Some excellent performances tonight but the stand out performances came from Hamza and Will with Hamza getting my vote.

I think we all know who should be taking an early departure but football is a funny old game.

I normally like strong independent woman but in the case of Fleur it was Squeak! Squeak!

Matt has potential but Shirley showed her true colours again as it was obvious, she has taken an instant dislike to him.

Chance to Dance… poor old Giovani wanted to be anywhere other than Dancing with Richie.

Don’t know what Motsi thought she looked like, something out of a Disney film. Anton was his usual good form.

Will was very good, hopefully not a one trick pony. Mrs S and I both automatically applauded him when he had finished. It looked more like a week five dance, not week one.

Fleur, I just can’t warm to her. Too full of herself and over egged the dance last night.

As I mentioned on the ‘fun thread’, Giovanni dancing with anther man, didn’t see that coming.

Overall a good nights entertainment.

Not sure I like the "new" Craig  being far too generous - bring the old Craig back

I know hardly any of the 'Celebrities' on this year's show. In order to know who you were all referring to I had to look back to see who was who. I thought the marking was, after the first two or so couples, incredibly generous considering the majority of the competitors hadn't dance seriously before. I agree about Fleur. It does make it seem a bit like it's getting towards winter with Strictly back on the screen - yes I know it really is getting towards winter. Everyone I know is talking about keeping away from their heating controls. My daughter is going away for a week at half term and is determined not to put the heating on till she returns but I sense she will find that hard. Sorry a bit off topic.

I thought she was auditioning for some forthcoming Drag Queen program.

I don’t particularly enjoy the boy-on-boy or indeed the girl-on-girl pairings…awkward to say the least.

Nothing wrong with them. Ritchie Anderson and Giovanni were on the One Show last night and very comfortable they looked too. Ritchie is my favourite this year

I don't think Giovanni looked comfortable at all on Saturday. I'm not convinced by Ritchie's dancing either. I think he's Giovanni's penance for the amazing chemistry he had with Rose to help him win last year. The reigning champ always seems to get landed with a little hoper.

I'm not keen on the boy/boy, girl/girl pairings either. Seems to me like a sop to the woke brigade. Perhaps they need a Gay Pride show which would give more the same opportunity.

I wonder if Tony Adams will be first for the exit door.

Based on his first performance I would certainly expect to see him at the bottom of the leader-board, but as has been said many times before - it is not a dancing competition but a popularity contest!

Absolutely. Not being a footie fan I have no idea how popular he is. But even if his fan base saves him for a week or two it won't be long.

Nor me. I'm not sure why a gay celeb's desire for a same sex partner should trump a straight pro's obvious preference for a partner of the opposite sex. I can't imagine either of the pros this year were jumping at the chance and it shows in the chemistry, or lack of it. Last year's boy/boy pair were clearly more comfortable and performed brilliantly. I can't see either of this year's pairings going far once tbey've exhausted the pink vote.

You ladies wouldn’t want a love bite of Richie Anderson, you’d lose half your neck. He makes Jaws look like a pussycat.

My money is on Tony and Richie to be in the dance off with Giovanni hoping..." if not this week perhaps next".

First the positive…

I really liked Shirleys new hair style.

Negatives…

Bensham was right, I was wrong about Richie’s potential…if the voting public can get past the awkwardness that I feel about the pairing, then he could last a couple more weeks.

Best dance…Molly

Bottom two James and Ellie…so it’s hello James goodbye Ellie.
