I've Been Covinated
As we seem to have made up wards for everything these days I thought I would make one up - Covinated, meaning that I have just had my autumn booster

Re: I've Been Covinated
I’ve got mine on Friday morning and flu jab on Monday.
I’ve had a slight reaction to the previous three covid jabs so I’m expecting similar.
I’ll have to lay on the sofa and have someone peel my grapes

Depending on what the system is where you are - you may be offered the flu jab at the same time as your Covid jab

Re: I've Been Covinated
Had our Covid on Saturday 17th then the Flu jab the following Saturday.
Could have had both at the same time but the Surgery advised that most of their patients are not wishing to take that route ... seemed the way to go we thought in case of any adverse impact.
Jabbed to the eyeballs we actually went into Morrisons yesterday ... brave or what ?

Like you, I’m in the non codger group. I’ve got my flu jab booked for 17th October , and will book my Covid jab as soon as I am able to.

Got my flu and Covid jab this afternoon......outside the surgery in a gazebo tent in the corner of the car park. Should be interesting trying to park with the world and his mother turning up.

I’ve opted for the VIP vaccination package as I hate waiting in crowds…. They did offer me an earlier date but I said it coincided with my world cruise.

We had summer boosters at the end of June, only 3 months ago, so happy to wait a bit longer. Would like to get re-covinated before we go to Madeira for 4 weeks over Christmas/New Year though.

Re: I've Been Covinated
I've had my Covid booster but not the flu jab yet. When I had the booster they couldn't do the flu jab at the same time for some reason. No after effects from the booster at all, didn't feel it and didn't even have a sore arm. Feeling very fragile at the moment as I had a stupid accident on Monday, fell over my own feet and landed on the hard tiled kitchen floor. Now being looked after by one of my daughters and using ice and heat packs together with painkillers and feeling lucky it was no worse. Painful lower back and bruised coccyx - ouch! Walking around with a stick feeling about 90! Will have to book a flu jab when I'm feeling a bit more mobile.

Hope your feeling better soon Carole.
I know how you feel after slipping down stairs four weeks ago. Bl**dy painful especially trying to sleep at night.

We were both covinated this morning, and had our flu jabs ten days ago, so let's hope they both work well and keep us virus free on Iona in 10 days time.

Have you not read the latest news - you cannot sail if you have been jabbed in the 14 days prior to embarkationtowny44 wrote: 28 Sep 2022, 13:43We were both covinated this morning, and had our flu jabs ten days ago, so let's hope they both work well and keep us virus free on Iona in 10 days time.

Only 2 pharmacies around here doing Covid. One had 400 doses come in on Friday. People were queuing out of the shop and down the street and by teatime there were no more doses left. They're now booked up for the next fortnight so we'll have another try once the rush is over.
I was taught to be cautious

Same problem as you Foxy. Just went for my jabs only to find the world and his mother were queueing out the door and way up the footpath. Makes you wonder what's the point of an appointment time. Hopeless
Almost feel like saying boll*cks to it and take my chances.
