Liverpool, Manu and Arsenal have shed loads of money, Watford on the other hand do not.Bensham33 wrote: 27 Sep 2022, 12:24Patience is the key word Liverpool were patient with Klopp, Man United were patient with Ferguson, Arsenal were patient with Wenger, all three clubs had amazing success because of their patience. A decent manager will over haul the entire playing staff at a club from academy to first team and that takes time. Clubs who keep sacking their manager will never get success.
Pre the Pozzo era we were managed by Sean Dyche, a safe pair of hands working on a minimal budget. We bought Deeney on the back of proceeds from two Elton John concerts, additionally the stewards at that time used to mingle with the supporters on match days carrying buckets to try to raise money for a proper grondsman every once in a while.
Then the hire 'n' fire Pozzos rode into town ... Dyche was replaced with Zola on day 1. During their reign they have totally rebuilt the stadium and provided a state of the art training facility next to that of the Arsenal. We have one of the best playing surfaces in the Country and we've been in and out of the Prem attracting umpteen International players from all over the world along the way.
I think they have been extremely successful
