Thank goodness indeed.

If it's quiet at home I presume you're not sharing your bedroom with that noise bloke anymore.

Can not complain about the weather here in the east, knocking near 20c most days. It's been dry mostly, drop of rain and thunder last night but 6inchs down in the ground, its still bone dry.

Crikey Ray. What nationality are you? I assumed you were a Brit. We can complain about any sort of weather.

We've had a few nice days but lots of very heavy rain too ... log fire's been on this past week but no heating thus far.

Our heating has been on since late September morning and night, and all day since we came back from our cruise on Saturday, we like to be warm.

We never turn our heating off!

We have this devilish clever device that looks after it for us. It's called a thermostat. Cunningly it knows just how we like it!

A small eclipse of the sun this morning. Maybe you were in the shadow bit.

It's 20c now, keep it coming for another month, I'll settle for that.

Due to temporary incapacitation I'm looking for a volunteer to cut our back grass please.

Tea and biscuits provided. And if you get the stripes nice and straight there's a box of choccies in it for you as well from a well known supplier.

Can't say fairer than that.

Managed to do the front lawns during the course of this past week but the back needs a drying breeze and a change in the forecast for another two weeks of rain :(

Just managed to cut the front lawn. Wasn’t hardly worth doing but it’s tidied it up.

That’s me done for the day now.
