Hamza and Helen looking good and I have Mollie as an outside chance.

James and Ellie S for the dance off. Tony did better this week but it's just a stay of execution. Needs to go soon.

Perhaps next week we can have some proper dancing without silly costumes and gimmicks.

Wanting strictly to get back to the simple dancing pleasures of yesteryeari s rather like suggesting P&O should stop building bigger ships and get back to traditional cruising!!! :D

I agree Tony did better this week, but he was starting from a pretty low base. I was baffled that three judges gave him 8's. That's only 2 off perfect!

It did take him quite a while to establish himself as a permanent fixture in Arsenals defence as well.

Not saying that but new isn't always better. If it ain't broke don't fix it. By all means innovate but it's in danger of becoming a fancy dress circus.
And what's wrong with traditional cruising 🛳? Some people actually like it.

All a question of which era you are basing your traditional cruising and strictly on?

A mate of mine is in the audience. Been trying to get tickets for 6 years. Even when you do get tickets they issue more than they have room for to allow for no shows. So you have to queue in the morning to get them validated at 9am, before they send you away to come back at 3pm. He was queuing at 3.15 am and they were 7th and 8th in the queue. By just after 7am there were 200 in the queue! I think I'll stick to my sofa.
We tried for free ticket for years. Never happened so gave up. A bl**dy farce unless your a celebrity.

Your thinking is exactly the same as mine Foxy. You sure we’re not related

I thought apart from a couple of dances everyone upped their game this week. Certainly a vast improvement on last weeks shambles.

Molly is not one of my favourites but I thought her tango was very good, yet Craig slated it.

I think the only reason we still watch it is there’s bu99er all else on worth watching unless your into stupid game shows which practically dominate Saturday night viewing.

Don't you have Sky, Virgin Media or a PVR where you can record what you want and watch it when strictly is on, or even Netlfix or some other streaming service?

Can’t afford them sort of luxuries John. The best I can do is record through our dvd player/recorder and watch something else at the same time.

To be honest tech stuff doesn’t interest me anymore, all too complicated and crammed with stuff you never use.

I like things simple like ‘On and Off’

Time for ITV to step in with a ‘dancing competition’… if we can put up with the adverts?

No thanks Keith.

Like most ITV programs it’s eight minutes of program viewing and what feels like ten minutes+ of adverts. I’ve often lost the thread of what I’ve been watching by the time the program comes back on.

Thank goodness for recording options.

I don't mind the adverts that much although when you record a programme and skip through the adverts it's amazing how much time they waste take up.
If I'm watching live I always use the advert time to make a cup of tea, something to eat, go to the loo or anything else to do whilst they are on. That said if ITV did do a dance show it wouldn't be the same without Amy and Jowita would it?

It certainly wouldn’t be the same without Jowita…she’s my favourite you know  :D

We’ve just watched an ITV recorded Catharine Cookson film…. It became quite frustrating as I found myself having to say to my wife.” fast forward then” on more than one occasion.
