Not wishing to steal you thunder Ken but there is already a thread for this type of thing under ‘non cruise related topics’

I’ve watched this series Lindsey, one in which they either make them or break them. Tough men indeed.

Re: Whats on TV
Now living on my own I like to have something in the evening that isn't too hair-raising, scary etc. I loved the series of The Split and I enjoyed Anatomy of a Scandal. So any recommendations would be welcome.

Re: Whats on TV
Gratuitous violence and / or incompetent female DIs are to be avoided in this house, Dodds & McDonald was very much to our tastes. It's rerunning on ITV4 I believe.
We will be recording ' Reported Missing ' on BBC 1 @ 21:00 hrs tonight. The first episode was a mixture of emotions albeit with a concern that Plod seems to rely exclusively on CCTV footage to solve anything.
' All Creatures Great & Small ' will screen the 6th and final episode any time soon but we will watch all of them during Christmas week.

Re: Whats on TV
In terms of recommendations. I enjoyed Guilt & Guilt 2. I didn’t think I would as the premise sounds a bit gruesome (it’s well done & not grizzly at all). Some great performances and a cracking sound track. It was available on iPlayer but I think it’s only on payable streamers at the minute.
Also 10 Per Cent is really funny. It’s about showbiz agency and is on Prime.

Just finished an 8 parter on Netflix called "1899"
If you enjoyed "Lost" then you may enjoy this one, slow burning but very intriguing.

White Lotus on Sky. Series 2 just started but is stand alone and is better than series one. A rather dark comedy drama.

Re: Whats on TV
We tend to record a lot of programs to watch later. So we have just finished one series broadcast by BBC1 in February which was 'This Is Going To Hurt'. Revolving around a maternity dept, it really does draw you in with Ben Whishaw's brilliant acting as doctor Adam Kay in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
If you didn't see it I would certainly recommend this on catch up, you will not be disappointed.

Re: Whats on TV
I've just recorded the repeat of the House of Cards series, the British one with Ian Richardson. I did see it when it was originally broadcast but would like to see it again. There was an interesting interview with the author, Michael Dobbs before the first episode in which he explained how he came to write the book and about the naming of Francis Urquhart as the main character.

Re: Whats on TV
I’ve just started watching this - hadn’t seen series 1 but enjoying it so far. I’ve also been watching Rings of Power the prequel of The Hobbit - not sure yet whether I like it - all a bit confusingtowny44 wrote: 20 Nov 2022, 22:45White Lotus on Sky.
